Investment Competition
About the Competition
The Wharton Global High School Investment Competition is a free, online investment simulation (模拟) for high school students(9th to 12th grade)and teachers. Students work in teams of four to seven, guided by a teacher as their advisor (顾问). Together, they learn about teamwork, communication, risk, companies and industry analysis and many other important aspects of investing.
Teams examine a brief case study featuring a potential client and are tasked with working closely to meet that client’s long term investment goals. Equipped with an approved stock list and the Wharton Investment Simulator (WInS), which allows them to simulate (模拟) stock trading, students develop an investment strategy, analyze sectors and companies, and build a portfolio (投资组合) using $ 100 ,000 in virtual cash provided by WInS over the course of 10 weeks. Winners are selected on the strength of their team strategies, not on the growth of their portfolios.
Results
Final reports are reviewed by a team of judges, who select 50 semi-finalist teams. Those teams are invited to present their strategies to a panel of expert judges at the virtual semifinals. The top 10 teams from the semifinals move on to the final of the competition, the Global Finale, at Wharton in Philadelphia.
Please Remember
Once advisors register for the competition, they will receive a confirmation email with instructions to set up their student team accounts on WInS, our trading platform. Student team accounts must be set up no later than September 20, 2023. In order to complete the registration form, advisors will need to:

Mr. Beckman passed out lyrics for the auditions. Lisa could hardly wait to sing quietly to herself. Mr. Beckman tapped his baton on the music stand at the front of the room. “I know you’re all excited to audition, but before we do I have an announcement. This year will witness a very special performance by a select number of students,” Mr. Beckman said. Lisa squeezed the sheet music in her hands. Maybe it was a chance to be featured as one of the best singers.
“These individuals will be dressed in distinctive costumes and will set the stage for the rest of the show,” Mr. Beckman continued. “Brandon, Adriana, Tina, and Lisa, would you come up front please?” “Yes!” Lisa yelled, rushing to the front of the room.
Mr. Beckman removed a costume from the supply closet, “You four will be our wooden soldiers!” Lisa stared at the strange clothes. “No one is going to recognize us wearing those!” “Don’t worry, Lisa. Your names will be listed in the program under Wooden Soldiers.” Mr. Beckman said.
“But even my own parents won’t be able to tell which soldier is me!” “This is a very special honor,” Mr. Beckman said, “Lisa, I selected the top students in the class to open the show for us. You’ll need to learn a special march and dance, but if you don’t want to be a soldier, I can assign the part to someone else.” Lisa saw a few of her classmates’ eyes widen at the thought of taking her place. Maybe being a soldier was a good thing since Mr. Beckman had chosen her, and she wasn’t going to let him down. “Can we start practicing our march?” Lisa asked.

There’s no excuse not to get on your bike this spring. Get your indoor cycling fix and feel the benefits.
Great for general cardio (有氧的) fitness, exercise bikes can be a brilliant way of training at home. However, choosing the right bike is incredibly important, which is something that Roger Black and his team recognized when creating the Roger Black Folding Bike.
“Excellent value for money. Especially the ability to fold the exercise bike into a vertical (直立的) position and wheel it away for storage. This can also prevent you from throwing your clothes on it at the end of the day! Even if we are limited on space at home and work, we can continue physical activity with a Roger Black folding bike. This bike is helping me achieve my fitness goals following a recent running injury.”
——Brian Smith
“Best Present EVER are the words from my 77-year-old father who received his Roger Black fitness bike for his birthday. He said it is so simple and easy to use. The seat is VERY comfortable, so using it every day is a pleasure. It folds away nearly so it can be stored behind a door when necessary.”
