William Dunn is the founder of Take a Kid Fishing, Inc., which is    1     nonprofit organization in Lakeland, Forida.     2     (Inspire) by his strong relationship with his own father, William helps fatherless kids through the sport of fishing.

Several years ago, William    3     (notice) his six-year-old neighbor, Camran, seemed angry. He rushed out of the house,    4     (shout) at his mom. One day, William saw the boy outside and started a conversation. Camran shared that his dad wasn’t in his life. William asked Camran’s mom    5     permission to take him fishing. The two fished together several times a week, and William saw    7     (extreme) positive changes in Camran’s behavior. “That’s when I realized that God was calling me     8     (help) fatherless kids,” he says.

Now William is teaching Camran’s friends and other kids in the neighborhood to fish. Many have never been fishing or even on a boat,    9     William starts by teaching the basics. Then come the life lessons that fishing offers       10     (patient), teamwork, and the simple joy of relaxing in the outdoors.

Mason is a nice man. Days ago, he     1     (shop) at a shoe shop when he found a single mother and her son buying shoes there. And he happened to hear     2     (they) conversation.

During it, the mother offered a suggestion to her son: to be wise with what he chose because they had very little money. It moved Mason so much that he decided to offer     3     (buy) the boy any pair in the store. So he asked the boy, “What type of shoes do you like?” The boy was     4     (surprise) and told him, “I just want something     5     is comfortable.” Mason then replied he’d get him whatever shoes he wanted in that store.

The boy’s mum     6     (touch) by what she heard from the stranger. And she decided to share a photo of Mason with her son on     7     Internet to remember his kindness.

Mason’s act of kindness has made him a man     8     (wide) admired. And his story has received lots of online likes and also     9     (comment). One comment was that stories     10     this could make people feel encouraged.

While I was painting in the studio, an insect kept     1     (hit) against the window, trying to get back outdoors. I felt just     2     brief moment of concern and pity because I imagined its sense of fear. I kept a door open nearby so that it     3     (give) a chance to get free.

Whitaker has been blind since birth. His parents     1     (tell) that he only had a 50% chance of survival, and he underwent 11 surgeries before two years old.

Despite being faced with the slim chance, he exhibited an extraordinary gift     2     playing the piano. By the age of 3, he     3     (write) his own songs without ever having a teacher.

Later Whitaker entered a famous music school, making him the     4     (young) person to attend the school.

Whitaker's talent caught the attention of Dr. Charles Limb, a neurologist     5     fellow musician. With the     6     (permit) of the musician and his family, Whitaker underwent MRI exams.

What Dr. Limb was surprised to find was that the     7     (genius) brain seemed to have repurposed its own disused visual cortex (皮层) to build other neurological (神经病学的) pathways. “It seems like his brain is taking that part of the tissue that’s not being stimulated by sight and using it     8     (perceive) music,” Limb told CBS News. “It's sort of borrowing that part of the brain and rewiring it to help him hear music.”

When Dr. Limb presented Whitaker with his brain scans     9     (show) how his brain lit up when he listened to music, the musician was amazed. When asked about     10     he thought his brain was illuminated (使光辉灿烂) in such a way, he simply said “I love music.”
