Today we experienced enjoyable period of English class as usually. As soon as the bell rang, our teacher began to divide us from several groups to do the writing. After we knew when to do next, we set out to held a discussion immediately. Some students shared their ideas about the main point s while others added the detailed informations. Then we finished it quickly. Comparing to the compositions of the other groups, our is better. Whenever I passed by the Learning Garden on the back wall of our classroom in this week, our composition catch my eyes, reminding me of the excellent team work of our group.

Yesterday morning, an inspirational meeting was held in our school. Many top students in our school shared our study experience and unique learning methods, which are beneficial to those who are confusing about their studies. Ten years ago, I was in greatly depression. I worked hard at piano learning and devoted all my spare time to learn it. But I failed to pass the B level test, that made me quite disappointed. So I turned my mother for help when I got home. Hearing of what I told her, she smiled, “Test results sometimes cannot real show your ability and level. Thus, my progress should not be judged only by one test.” She encouraged me to work hard for the next year’s B Level Test. I take my mother’s advices. Last year I moved to a new city with my parents. It is the first time that I had come to the city. Being a student in ordinary school, I felt disappointing at the poor campus and the classroom. But with time going by, I found the teachers patient but helpful. In addition to, I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere in class. So I made up my mind to making use of it. I studied hardly with the help of my teachers and classmates. Soon, I became one of the top student in my class, which greatly increased my confidence. It was in Beijing that I attended a ten-day winter camp during Spring Festival this year. Not only do we visit many place of interest and we also listened to many lectures. How exciting I was when we visited a new sports stadium! It is ten times big than our school. Though everyone said the lectures were boring, but I enjoyed myself. I thought most of the activities, that expanded my knowledge and enriched my experiences, was wonderful. Finally, I do hope that more outdoor activities will be organizing so that we can learn more about Beijing.

A group of international students visited our school in last week. To help them better understand our tea-drinking culture, I take them to the tea room in our school but introduced the history of tea-making and tea culture to them. All the international students was quite interested in my introduction. Then I showed them what to make tea. I sat at a table, slowly explain every step of the process while making tea. All of them were so amazing that they couldn’t wait have a try themselves. Soon the atmosphere in the tea room became cheerful and lively and we had a lot of funs practising making tea. In an end, we took a group photo to memorize this unforgettable moment.

Our school library has a program calling English Corner. It is aimed at help pupils develop a basic vocabulary and gain confident in English. The program lasts from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm every Sunday the library. The library now needs more volunteers, which will tell pupils English stories, read them short poems and nursery rhymes(儿歌)and teach him English songs. Besides, under volunteers guidance, pupils will watch English cartoons and learned English through different kinds of game. I’m one of the volunteers.
