I still remember the last Christmas Granny spent with us. It began in the middle of November on a cold, windy day. I remember the wind because Granny’s grey hair was a     1     when she arrived. That was also the day Granny     2    .     3    , at the time, I didn’t know she was sick. Maybe I was too young, maybe she hid it too well, or maybe I was just too excited that Christmas was on the way.

One night a hotel caught a fire, and people in it ran out in their night clothes.

“You don’t know my work,” said the other.

“What is your work?”

“I’m a policeman.”

Having quarreled with her husband Tom, Jane boiled with anger and she intended to find a better camp spot alone.An hour later, what alarmed her was that she got lost in the forest. Finally, they found Jane. Tom stormed out of the helicopter, rushed forward excitedly and hugged Jane tightly, saying that how much he was concerned about her.
