The recent success of children’s books has made the general public aware that there’s a huge market out there.
And there’s a growing need for new writers trained to create the $3 billion worth of children’s books bought each year … plus stories and articles needed by over 650 publishers of magazines for children and teenagers.
Who are these needed writers? They’re ordinary folks like you and me.
But am I good enough?
I was once where you might be now. My thoughts of writing had been pushed down by self-doubt, and I didn’t know where to turn for help.
Then, I accepted a free offer from the Institute to test my writing ability, and it turned out to be the inspiration I needed.
The promise that paid off
The Institute made the same promise to me that they will make to you, if you show basic writing ability:
You will complete at least one manuscript (手稿) suitable to hand in to a publisher by the time you finish our course.
I really didn’t expect any publication before I finished the course, but that happened. I sold three stories. And I soon discovered that was not unusual at the Institute.
Since graduation, I have authored 34 nationally published children’s books and over 300 stories and articles.
Free test and brochure
We offer a free ability test and will send you a copy of our brochure (小册子) describing our recognized home-study courses on the basis of one-on-one training.
Realize your writing dream today. There’s nothing sadder than a dream delayed until it fades forever.
Sincerely,
Kristi Hill, Instructor
Institute of Children’s Literature

The Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China is an ancient defense project with the longest construction time and the largest workload put into a landmark, stretching out to a total length of more than 50,000 kilometers. Only when you have been to the Great Wall and witnessed its majesty can you truly say you have visited China.
Angkor Wat, Cambodia

Taj Mahal, India
The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the river Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra. Taormina
If you want a true taste of pleasure and luxury, Taormina is the perfect destination for it. You’ll find rows of shops and first-class restaurants with a backdrop of sweeping views of Mount Etna. The whole town feels more modern compared to the medieval winding roads and broken castles in the surrounding cities, but Taormina has breathtaking ruins to see as well. The Greek theater ruins are a must-see, and there is Greek-influenced architecture everywhere you look.
Palermo
Palermo is Sicily’s capital city, a historically important trade port that was taken over by many of the surrounding countries throughout history. You can look for the signs of Sicily’s past conquerors in the present-day architecture. The Palermo Cathedral, with Romanesque, Baroque, Gothic and Modern influences, is a great example of competing architectural styles within one building. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, head to the Catacombs of the Capuchins, where 8000 dead bodies between the 17th and 19th centuries are on display.
Mount Etna
A trip to Sicily’s east coast wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Mount Etna. It looks extremely impressive from afar, but there are plenty of ways to enjoy Europe’s largest active volcano up-close as well. Take a cable-car to the top, explore the dramatic valleys and be amazed at the lava flows. In the winter, you can also ski down with a glass of Etna Rosso, a wine that’s made in this area. The grapes are grown in volcanic soil, resulting in bright and red wines.
1. What can you probably find in Taormina?A.Broken castles. | B.Amazing ruins. | C.Active volcanoes. | D.Unique wines. |
A.Because Palermo is the capital city of Sicily. |
B.Because the authorities have a passion for varieties. |
C.Because it copies those of the surrounding countries. |
D.Because Palermo used to be occupied by many other countries. |
