Identity     1     (be) an important topic among the overseas Chinese since Chinese traders established Chinatowns throughout Indonesia in the 1400s,     2    (kick) off centuries of Chinese migration (移民) all over the world.

The later generations of these waves of migration have shaped and been shaped by each of     3     (they) new homes. Many of the Chinese overseas locate home in comforting regional Chinese dishes which they     4     (eat) during childhood.

For many of them, home tastes are like a mix of markedly Chinese foods and foods which are not     5     (typical) Chinese. “Cantonese cuisine values vividly fresh ingredients (原料), so my parents loved searching for the best     6     was available off the Pacific West Coast,” said Lee F. Many interviewees described their kitchens as windows into their true     9     (self). “To a lot of these people,” they said, “dining table is a safe and comfortable space, because home cooking is allowing you to feel your Chinese identity.”

Gabe Chan,     10     Chinese-Canadian chef, said in his interview, “Chinese food existed before us and will exist long after us. Chinese food forever.”

Children should avoid screen time for at least an hour before bedtime and parents should lead by example, according     1     newly published guidelines. In UK, a top college has published guidance     2     (design) to help parents manage their children’s screen time.     3     (follow) a major review, they acknowledge that high levels of screen time are linked to a     4     (little) healthy diet, poorer mental health and an inactive lifestyle.

Dr. Max Davie,     5     health officer, said that children learn from examples rather than instructions. He said, “It’s very difficult     6     (give) strict limits on your children’s screen use if you are constantly on screens     7     (you). Parents need to get control of their own screen time if they are going to get control of the family’s screen time. It’s much more practical if you practise     8     you require.”

They suggested that parents     9     (control) screen time based on the child’s developmental age, the individual need and value the family place on positive     10     (active) such as socializing, bodybuilding and sleep.
