My little sister is the 11-year-old student. Today I gave up a new book to her or then asked her how her school was going. She couldn't wait tell me about her kind act. During her lunch break, she spent 45 minute helping out in a kindergarten classroom. She helped do the cleaning, helped the children put her coats on, and got activities setting up for the next group that came in for the afternoon. I told her how greatly her volunteering was. She says with a smile, “Well, I'm like you now.” It was her words which made my day.

Josh had a problem with anger control. As result, he had few friends. Felt worried about Josh’s bad temper, her father tried to help him. He gave Josh a hammer but a bag of nails, telling him to put a nail into the fence whenever he became mad. Although the fence was as tougher as iron, Josh hammered 37 nails within a day! However, he found it was more difficulty to hammer nails than to controlling his anger. Over time, Josh uses fewer nails. One day, he no longer needed nails. His father gave him a hug and told him the hurtful words that he had said them would leave various scar on others.
Will you help old when he/she falls down on the street? A recently survey from our class meeting shows that eighty percent of the students think they are sure to help the old because of saving life is more important as anything else. Fifteen percent of the students says whether they help or not depends on the circumstances. However, five percent hold a view which the old shouldn’t be helped. First, they lack the knowledge of first aid, not know how to deal with the situation. Second, they are afraid of getting into trouble.
In my opinion, we should help each others, especially the old people. Please remember “respect the old” is one of our best tradition. Everyone will become old, and if such a case happens to you one day when we’re old, I will say I do need your help.
Thank you.

I’m really pleasing that you are coming to China to study the language and culture. Live in China might seem a little strange at first, but you’ll soon fit it. I think the most things here are cheap than those in your country. Our food are tasty but some might be oily. Anyway, we have Western food, either. Chinese people are very friend, so it’ll be easy for me to get used to the life here. I’ll introduce you to my schoolmate and you won’t feel lonely. In a word, I’ll try my best to make you feel home. I’m looking forward to meeting you soon.
