It's reported that 150,000 bikes are stolen in the United Kingdom alone
Spend money on good locks. No lock is totally thiefproof - but the more you spend, the better it will be. Spend about 20% of the value of your bike on locks. There are many different types.
Always lock your bike-even if you are only leaving it for a minute. Leave it in as public a place as possible. Lock it where you can see it-or where lots of other people can. If you're just having a break, lock it up nearby to where you are sitting down. Make sure it is tied to an immovable object.
Most importantly, make sure to tag(加标签) your bike in different places. If stolen, the thief will probably remove the tags he easily sees.

B.The one tag he misses will be helpful. |
C.Don't lock it up in the same place every day. |

Beach volleyball can be played with as few as two people in each team, making a total of four people. However, if you are less skilled and experienced in the game, it will be easier to play with a larger team. The more players you have, the less ground each person will be responsible for covering and the more time they will have to recover between shots. If you only have a few players, each of you will get a lot of running for the ball after each volley(截球). If you are looking for a relaxing, fun, low-key experience, choose larger teams.
Beach volleyball is similar to regular volleyball in its rules. However, even experienced volleyball players do not realize how much more difficult it is to run and jump on sand. Since it is harder to move quickly on sand than a hard surface, play will be much slower than regular volleyball on a court. When an athlete trains for beach volleyball, he will focus on building lower body strength as well as upper body strength. Strengthening his legs is extremely important. This improves the player’s ability to move quickly and accurately on sand despite the resistance. The ability to jump high and land without injury is necessary for beach volleyball players.
Whether you are in it for the competition, or just to have a great time with your friends, beach volleyball can be very exciting and fun. You may start out with friends and may soon fall in love with the sport.

Fans used to be crazy about a specific film, but now the public tends to base its consumption on the interest of celebrity attached to any given product. Besides, fashion magazines have almost abandoned the practice of putting models on the cover because they don’t sell nearly as well as famous faces. As a result, celebrities have realized their unbelievably powerful market potential, moving from advertising for others’ products to developing their own.
Celebrity clothing lines aren’t a completely new phenomenon, but in the past they were typically aimed at the ordinary consumers, and limited to a few TV actresses. Today they’re started by first-class stars whose products enjoy equal fame with some world top brands. The most successful start-ups have been those by celebrities with specific personal style. As celebrities become more and more experienced at the market, they expand their production scale rapidly, covering almost all the products of daily life.
However, for every success story, there’s a related warning tale of a celebrity who overvalued his consumer appeal. No matter how famous the product’s origin is, if it fails to impress consumers with its own qualities it begins to resemble(类似) an exercise in self-promotional marketing. And once the initial attention dies down, consumer interest might fade, loyalty(忠诚) returning to tried-and-true labels.
Today, celebrities face even more severe embarrassment. The pop-cultural circle might be bigger than ever, but its rate of turnover has speeded up as well. Each misstep threatens to reduce a celebrity’s shelf life, and the same newspaper or magazine that once brought him fame has no problem picking him to pieces when the opportunity appears. Still, the self potential for expansion is limitless. Having already achieved great wealth and public recognition, many celebrities see fashion as the next frontier to be conquered. As the saying goes, success and failure always go hand in hand. Their success as designers might last only a short time, but fashion-like celebrity-has always been temporary

Feeling “absolutely shocked”, Stephen Simpson, a biologist at the University of Bristol, decided to channel his sorrow into action. In 2017, he piled up coral remains to build dozens of new small reefs. He placed speakers nearby to play recordings made when the reefs were healthy. “As I wish, twice as many young fish settled on the reefs near these speakers”, he says.
In a new paper, Brittany Williams, a graduate student at the University of Adelaide, reviewed projects that used sound to help restore marine(海洋的) ecosystems. “We wanted to prove that sound has great potential”, she says. That potential arises from the fact that a healthy ocean is noisy: fish whistle, dolphins scream, and spiny lobsters play their feeler like violins. Like the noise of a big city, the familiar sound of a healthy habitat attracts young creatures that are seeking a permanent home.
The experiments showed that sound is one of the signals baby fish use to find and settle on a coral reef after spending their first weeks swimming in the open ocean. “We realized that the fish might be hearing their way home,” says Williams.
In experiments begun during her postgraduate degree, Williams put oysters(牡蛎) into jars and played some of them a recording from a wasteland where an oyster reef used to be. Other oysters were played nothing, while a third group heard the sound of a restored reef. The oysters that heard the restored reef were about twice as likely as the others to settle and attach themselves at the bottom of the jar.
