Your teeth are important. To have strong teeth, you need to take care of them.

Caring for teeth starts with eating healthy food. Think about the food you eat. Cakes and sweet drinks hurt your teeth.

Also, you should clean your teeth carefully after every meal. Clean all of your teeth, not just the front ones. It takes about two minutes to do a good job.

If your teeth are hurting, go to the dentist (牙医). Dentists can clean your teeth better than you. And they can take pictures of your teeth and help to fix (修补) them.

So, take care of your teeth at home and visit the dentist every year. Then you will be able to have strong teeth all your life.

I am Mike. When I woke up this morning, I could feel it was going to be a bad day. I looked in the mirror（镜子）, my hair was standing up. It looked like a tree.

I cried, “Mom, I look like a tree.”

She said, “That’s nice, dear. Please get ready for school.” I shouted, “Mom, my hair is sticking up （竖起）on my head.” “That’s nice, dear. Please put on your clothes.”

I could see waves（波浪） on my head. It looked like the sea “Mom!” “What!”

I walked down the kitchen. Mom looked at me. “What’s wrong with your hair?”“I don’t know, ”I said. “I guess it is a bad hair day.” “I guess so,” said my mother.

Dad looked up from the newspaper and laughed. “Who cares if it is a bad hair day? You are both silly. Today is Saturday!”

People call the Chinese diving(跳水) team a “dream team”. It is one of the best diving teams in the world since the 1990s. Fourteen-year-old Quan Hongchan is a member of the team.

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Quan was the biggest dark horse. She won two gold medals(奖牌) in the women’s 10-meter platform dive. It was a big surprise to the team and Quan herself. “I did not think of winning(赢得) the gold medal,” She said. “I just tried to do a good job.”

Quan was born in a poor family in Zhanjiang, Guangdong. In 2018, she joined the Guangdong diving team and spent three years there before joining the national team at the end of 2020. She remembered how it felt when she started to learn diving at the age of7. “It was so much fun,” she said.

But it takes more than just interest for a beginner to become a good player. “I need to practice hard every day and try my best every day,” she said.
