My favourite sport is basketball because it is very exciting. I like basketball because the NBA stars play very well. Basketball is very cheap and it is a good sport for our health. We can grow taller if we play basketball often. Also it keeps me healthy. I play basketball three times a week. Most often I play it in my school. I often play it with my friends or I may play it myself. I feel very happy when I play basketball at school with my classmates. Sometimes I play basketball in the playground near my home. Basketball is very easy to play. If you play basketball very well, you can join the basketball team. If you win the basketball competition, you will have the prize. You may become a famous basketball star.

Jenny is my friend. She has a happy family. In the morning, she gets up at five forty. She takes a shower and then eats breakfast at half past six. Her parents usually get up at five o’clock. They run for thirty minutes and go home to take showers. Then her mother makes breakfast at six o’clock, and her father watches news on TV.

After breakfast, Jenny’s parents go to work and Jenny goes to school. They don’t have lunch at home. In the afternoon, Jenny goes home at half past four. She always does her homework after she gets home. Her parents come back at five thirty. They have dinner at six thirty.

In the evening, she either reads books or watches TV, but she can only watch TV for twenty-five minutes. Her parents say it’s bad for her eyes to watch TV too much. She has to go to bed at about nine o’clock.

I am having a good time in Beijing. I am in a restaurant now. The restaurant is big and there are 30 tables in it. I order(点)a bowl of noodles, some tofu and some vegetables. The dumplings here look good, and I want to order some next time. As for drinks, I order some tea. The meal will cost me 50 yuan.

The food here is very good. The noodles and the tofu are delicious, and the vegetables are great, but the tea isn't very good. The people in the restaurant use chopsticks(筷子)to have meals. I can't use them and I am learning how to use them. It is very interesting. I think it will take me a long time to finish the meal.

They eat different things. For breakfast, Sonia likes eggs. But Jack likes French fries. For lunch, Sonia likes salad. But Jack doesn’t like it. He likes a hamburger. And for dinner, Sonia has apples. But Jack has chicken.

They like different sports. Sonia likes basketball and volleyball very much. But Jack likes soccer very much. Sonia has five basketballs and six volleyballs, and Jack has three soccer balls.
