Spain is famous for its tomato festival. It happens on the last Wednesday of August every year. During the festival there are all kinds of activities, but the most ________ part is the tomato fight. It takes place at the end of too long celebration.

I am a cute baby panda. “Bing” means “ice” in Chinese, which is a symbol of winter sports. “Dwen” suggests health. “Dwen Dwen” gives my image a more friendly feel. Altogether, “Bing Dwen Dwen” shows the spirit of the Olympics, including a strong mind and a healthy body.

I was chosen as the mascot（吉祥物）for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic in 2019. Now I have been made into cute toys and plastic models. You can also see me on notebooks, bags and many other things. I work together with Shuey Rhon Rhon, a girl who looks like a red lantern. I am a black and white panda wearing a full-body “shell” made of ice. The red heart shape in my left palm means welcoming the friends from other countries warmly. You can also see the emblem（会徽）on my body, which is called “Winter Dream”. The bright colors of the circles around my face stand for ice and snow sport tracks and 5G technology, meaning connectivity and advanced（先进的）technologies .

Cao Xue, the lead designer of me and his team tried many plants and animals before they finally decided on me. “What can better stand for China than our national treasure? We don’t need to explain anything to have it understood across different cultures.” my creator Cao said. However, they faced a problem, though: there were already too many cartoon pandas. Cao’s team looked at panda designs from around the world. They wanted to make sure their panda was different. For this reason, Cao decided it should be a baby panda. This is how they got my body shape. As you can see, my body has the same length as my head, which makes me look more like a baby.
