Pam is busy every day. She has two jobs and works from Monday to Saturday. And she is a mother of two children. She has to drink a lot of coffee to stay awake in the day.

After work, Pam cooks dinner for herself and her children. Then she asks her children to go to sleep. She goes to bed too, but she cannot get to sleep at once. She turns again and again, and only gets about four hours of sleep each night. In the morning Pam is tired, so she isn’t friendly to her kids. She often thinks, “I need more sleep. Mr White helps his mother move into a new house this Sunday. He starts at 5:30 in the morning. At first, he sweeps the floor and cleans the windows. Then it takes him a lot of time to carry the heavy furniture into the new house. He helps his mother hang the curtains (窗帘）up, too.

Mr White is very tired when he drives home. It is 10: 15 p. m. He can't find the right key to the front door. Then he tries the back door but he can’t open it, either. "I should climb in through the window," Mr White says to himself. He doesn’t want to wake up his wife and children.

But suddenly, a big black dog comes to him and barks (狗叫）loudly. Mr White is very afraid.

He doesn't have a dog! He realizes he is at the wrong house! The police are coming when he wants to leave.

"What are you doing, young man?" asks a policeman.

"I just want to go home", says Mr White "but I'm at the wrong house!"

The day was like any other day in his life, Bill walked past the shop on the street corner. He stopped to look at the front row（排，列） of shoes, and he felt happy to see that the pair of shoes he wanted very much were still there. Looking down, he felt sorry for himself. He really wanted to have them for his birthday.

He sadly walked away and thought how to tell his mother about it. He knew she would give him anything he liked if she could. But he also knew very well she had little money. He decided（决定） not to go home at once, as he looked worried and his mother would notice (注意) it. So he went to the park and sat on the grass. Then he saw a boy in a wheel chair (轮 椅) . He found （发现）that the boy moved the wheel with his hands. Bill looked at him carefully and was surprised to see the boy have no feet. He looked at his own feet. “It's much better to be without shoes than without feet, ” he thought. There was no reason (理由) for him to feel   sad. He       smiled, thinking he was happier.

Jack is a healthy boy. He eats many vegetables and fruit every day, like potatoes, cabbage, carrots, apples, oranges and pears. He eats only a little meat every day. He gets up early in the morning and runs for exercise. He has a glass of milk every morning. Then he walks to school. In the afternoon, he plays sports on the playground. In the evening, he goes to bed early to get enough rest.
