Have you ever noticed the paper you use? Do you really know it? Paper, as one of the four great inventions in ancient China, can be seen everywhere in our life. Although it is very common, it can always play an important role. The invention of paper changed the way people wrote and greatly promoted the spread（传播）and development of culture.

Paper is an important invention in ancient China. At first, humans depended on ropes to remind themselves of some important things. Then written words began to appear. Oracle bones（甲骨文）were used as writing material. Other materials including bamboo, wood and silk were also used during the Spring and Autumn Period. But the silk was too expensive and the bamboo pieces were too heavy, so paper was invented and produced. Thanks to the invention and popularization（普及）of paper, a large amount of information in ancient times was able to spread among people.

________. It is a carrier（载体）of writing and printing. Painters use it to describe the beauty of the world, writers use it to tell the warmth of the world, and educators use it to spread knowledge. It is also used for packing（打包）things. Of course there is also paper for other purpose, such as printing paper and toilet paper.

Paper plays a great role in our life and is used for many kinds of purposes. We can’t imagine the life without paper.

Everyone feels sad at times. It’s OK to feel sad. You can do things to help yourself feel better.

Tip 1: Name how you feel. Just tell yourself（or someone else）that you feel sad. “I’m feeling sad.” Then try to find out why you feel that way. Name that part, too. “I’m sad because my team lost.”

Tip 2: Get support（支持）. Tell someone how you feel. You could tell a parent, a teacher or a friend. They can listen to how you feel. After they listen, they might say, “I see why you feel sad.” To know they understand can make you happy. It helps a lot.

Tip 3: Think about good things. When you are ready to feel better, think of a few good things, like your favorite books, games or shows. Think of the people, places or pets your love.

Tip4: Put yourself in a good mood（情绪）. Play a game or sport, ride a bike, dance or run. Take a walk, make art or music. Read or spend time with someone you like. Relax, or get active. Have some fun, and feel better.
