When I was in Chengdu, I saw teahouses everywhere on the streets. There is a saying, “China has the best teahouses in the world and Chengdu has the best teahouses in China.”

The service in the teahouses is really friendly. When you go into a teahouse, the waiters (服务员) greet you with smiles on their faces and with teapots (茶壶) and cups in their hands. After you sit down, they set the cups on the table.

People who go to the teahouses are not really thirsty. They pay 20 yuan to go to a teahouse and will sit there all day long to talk with each other. These days, more and more people go to teahouses for business (生意) talks. Some teahouses also have shows, such as storytelling and so on.

We know good health and happiness are important in life. Here are some ways to make them easy.

●Eat healthily. Eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, some grains (谷物) and a little bit of meat.

●Exercise twice or three times a week.

●Get enough sleep. It is best to sleep eight hours a day.

●Keep yourself busy. This is good because it stops you from having bad habits. To keep yourself busy, you can work around the house, do sports, or have a hobby (爱好).

●Go out and make friends. Spend time and have fun with them. Talk more with them, but you must be sure not to talk about anything bad. You should stay with the people who are healthy and happy themselves.

I am Alice. My sister and I spent our last weekend with our uncle who is a geologist (地质学家).

Our uncle bought us two bags and asked us to go to the mountain with him. When we walked, he put stones (石头) in our bags. To our surprise, he also took some stones out from our bags.

When we went home, we were very tired. The bags were so heavy that we felt happy when we took them off. But our uncle’s bag was half full.

“Why did you give us so many stones?” we asked.

“I didn’t. You did,” he said. “You didn’t know it, but I gave you a test today. Whenever you complained (抱怨), I put a stone in your bags. Whenever you were positive (积极的), I took out a stone. And now look at your bags.”

Our bags were full of stones.

“Your negative (消极的) thoughts are just like stones. The more negative thoughts you have, the heavier your mind will be,” said our uncle.

With great love, our uncle taught us one of the most important lessons in life.

This Summer, I disliked eating out, and I didn’t want to cook because it was so hot in my kitchen. So I often ordered some food for     31     (I) online.
