Do you laugh every day? Most people do. Scientists say that people laugh about 17 times a day. That is a lot of laughter.
In India, there are hundreds of laughter clubs. The people in these clubs get together every morning. First they stretch their hands above their heads. Then they pretend (假装) to laugh. Soon everyone is laughing naturally. People say they feel good after laughing together.
Scientists believe that laughter is good for you. Why? For one thing, laughter is good exercise. When you laugh, you exercise many muscles (肌肉) in your body. Scientists say that one hundred laughs are the same as ten minutes of running. When you laugh, you also breathe deeply. This helps you relax. That’s good for you, too.

It seems that food deliverymen (送货员) are always rushing in haste. We can always see them running every minute, and they seem to have lots of things to do the next minute. They wear blue, red or yellow helmets (头盔) and many of them don’t follow traffic rules. They drive on the wrong side of the road and run red lights. They use mobile phones when they are driving.
However, not everything goes well with food deliverymen. In the first half of 2017, food deliverymen had 76 traffic accidents in Shanghai. That means every two and a half days, a food deliveryman will die or get hurt on the road.
What makes deliverymen take such risks? The strict rules of the food delivery companies and the worried customers may be the answer. Many companies will fine (罚款) a deliveryman up to 2, 000 yuan if he can’t deliver the food on time, reported by China Daily. Finer also go to those who get bad reviews (评论) from customers.
To solve the problem, food delivery service companies need to do some changes. Some cities are also taking action.Shanghai has asked companies to train their deliverymen on traffic rules and safety. “May we all be blessed with longevity. Though miles apart, we are still able to share the beauty of the moon together (但愿人长久,千里共婵娟),”wrote Su Shi, a poet during the Song Dynasty, in his well-known poem to his younger brother Su Zhe.
The moon is at its brightest on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar (阴历). On this day, people celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. It has been enjoying great popularity all over China.
In ancient China, that day was a harvest (收获) festival because crops (庄稼) were harvested during that period. It was a time for relaxation and celebration.
Just like Thanksgiving Day in Western countries, families also try to get together for the Mid-Autumn Festival in China. Usually, no matter how far away or how busy they are, people will try to return home for the celebration.
The Mid-Autumn Festival has its own special food just as other traditional Chinese holidays. People eat mooncakes with fillings such as sugar and eggs. The round shape of the mooncake makes it look like the full moon. The full moon and mooncakes stand for the family reunion (团聚).
With the beautiful moon up in the sky, people sit together, enjoy the full moon, eat mooncakes and fruits, share the stories, and express the best wishes for the family members and friends who live afar.
