Many children use the Internet to get useful knowledge and information, and to relax in their free time. But some of them are not using it in a good way. Here are some rules to make sure you are safe and have fun on the Internet.

Make rules for Internet use with your parents. For example, when and how long you can go online, and what activities you can do online.

Don’t give your password (密码) to anyone else, and never give out the following information—your real name, home address, age, school, phone number or other personal information.

Never send a photo of yourself to someone in e-mail unless your parents say it’s OK.

Check with your parents before going into a chat room. Different chat rooms have different rules and attract different kinds of people. You and your parents will want to make sure it’s a right place for you.

Never agree to meet someone you met on the Internet without your parents’ permission (允许). Never meet anyone you met online alone.

Always remember that people online may not be who they say they are. Treat everyone online as a stranger.

If something you see or read online makes you uncomfortable, leave the site. Tell a parent or teacher right away.

Treat other people as you’d like to be treated. Never use bad language.

Remember—not everything you read on the Internet is true.

From a plane we can see the fields, cities, mountains or seas below. If we go into space, we see more and more of the Earth. People and man-made satellites have been sent out into space to observe the Earth carefully and people have learned about the Earth in the last few years.

The sea looks very beautiful when the sun is shining on it. But it can be very terrible when there is a strong wind.

The sea is very huge. It nearly covers three quarters of the earth. The sea is also very deep in some places. There is one place where the sea is about 11 kilometers in depth. The highest mountain in the world is about 9 kilometers high. If that mountain was put into the sea at that place, there would be still 2 kilometers of water above it!

In most parts of the sea, there are many kinds of fishes and plants. Some live near the top of the sea. Others live deep down. There are also a lot of small living things, and quantities of fishes live by eating them.

The sea can be very cold. When people go down, the sea becomes colder and colder. Only some men could go down into the deep sea at first. But in1970, five women scientists lived in the deep sea for fourteen days.

Brad went to a large company to apply for (申请) a manager. The director discovered that he was very excellent.

Then the director asked him some questions.
