At around 3 a.m. on October 29, Yang and her husband Guo were busy making baozi. Suddenly they heard a loud cry near their shop. Then Yang noticed a little girl who was running barefoot (赤脚) on the street alone when she rushed to check out the situation. Yang carried the girl into the shop and dressed her in a thick coat. Her husband Guo called the police right away.

It is hard to imagine a place that’s more dangerous than Death Valley. Death Valley is the hottest and the driest place in North America.

Death Valley isn’t an easy place to live in. It gets less than two feet of rain year and it’s hot, too. In July, the temperature often reaches over 46℃.
