Second, try your best to finish your homework quickly. Don’t spend a lot of time on it. Do more reading or writing in English. Don’t stay up late, or you can’t study well the next day.

Third, think of something instead of copying or repeating. If you can remember the words in your way, you can tell your teachers you don’t like the way of copying them again and again. If you are sure you can pass tests well, I think your teachers will agree with you. And they can give you something interesting to do.

School is really a good place for you to learn. Believe in your teachers and yourself.

You must have heard of drug-sniffing dogs (缉毒犬). But how about“drug sniffing squirrels”(松鼠)? Recently, Chongqing police have successfully trained six squirrels to detect drugs. They began their work in early February.

The squirrels have a sharp sense of smell. They can smell food hidden under snow. Being so small,they can search for drugs in the places where dogs may not be able to reach, such as in narrow or high places. The squirrels are trained to use their claws (爪子) to scratch at boxes to tell the police when they find the drugs, according to Chongqing police.

“Our self-developed training system can be used to train different kinds of animals,” Yin Jin, a police dog trainer in Chongqing, said. The key is to develop the animals' conditioned reflex (条件).

First, the animals need to be familiar with (熟悉) the smell of the drug. The trainers can put pieces of cloth with the smell of the drug next to the animals’ food. Next, the animals learn to search for the drug in different situations, such as from a large number of bags or among people walking in crowds. If the animals successfully detect the drug, they are rewarded with snacks and other food. After they are trained for some time, the conditioned reflex will be built and the animals will search for drugs naturally.

How to reduce stress

Learn to relax. Overwork (过量工作) is the main reason why so many students feel tired and stressed. Cut down some of the work you need to do each day so that you can do the most important things well.     41     This might mean reading a good book, listening to music, going for a walk and taking a relaxing shower.

Get a good night’s sleep.     42     If you stay up late and need to get up early for school the next day, you may not be able to concentrate (集中注意力) on the things you need to do.

Do exercise and eat well. Don’t rush through your meals.     43     Eat health y food instead. And try to do exercise often.

    44     Some people are optimistic (乐观的), while others are not. Choose optimistic people as your friends and spend more time with them and you will be as happy as they are.

    45     Find out the best idea in your mind. Believe yourself. You are able to solve problems.
