You may take buses every day. But do you ever think about painting buses? In Washington County of Pennsylvania, US, there is such an activity for students.

It is held at the local fairgrounds (露天游乐场) every year. This year, it was held on Aug.17. Students from 13 high schools competed (竞争) to paint buses. The buses came from schools, churches and some bus companies. Each year the winning prize is $100.

The kids can paint the buses freely, but there are a few rules. They only have one hour to paint a whole bus. The pictures have to be about a theme. This year it was Star Wars. They can't paint inside the bus. Each school must paint with certain colours. Each school has to show its name on its bus.

The final winner was Avella High School. They painted their bus black with lighter paint to make it look like space. There are many Star Wars characters (人物) on the sides of the bus. The students all thought it was fun.

John worked hard but he was still very poor. He was very sad all day. One day when he came home from work, he saw his daughter in the living room. She was playing with colorful wrapping paper. John got angry.

“Where is the paper from?” John asked.

“I bought it with my pocket money. ” the girl answered.

“You won’t get money from me any more. ” John said and went to his room.

Some days later, it’s Christmas. The girl brought a little box in colorful paper to her father and said, “Dad, this is for you. ”

The father was surprised to see the colorful box. He felt sorry for his anger that day. He touched the girl’s head and opened the box. He became angry again when he found nothing inside.

“Why is it empty? Are you playing a trick on me?” the angry father asked.

“No, Dad. It’s not empty. I put many kisses in the box. All for you, Dad. ”

John had nothing to say. He put his arms around the girl, “Sorry, dear. Please forgive me. ”

From then on, John always kept the box beside his bed. When he felt sad, he took a kiss out of the box and remember the love of his child.

Angela, 17 I visited a forest park last week. I found there were not enough paths there. I’m going to help build new hiking paths. I’ll spend seven days living in the forest. I can work with friends in the daytime and then sleep under the moonlight. It will be a nice sport，and I’ll be able to do something good at the same time！

In the day you can swim in the pool or play games on the ship. You can even(甚至) see a film on the ship. Sometimes you can see birds flying around you. They are flying here and there. Look at the picture of the ship. Does it look like a house? It's very large. And it's the most luxury passenger liner(豪华游轮) in the world, called Freedom of the Seas(海洋自由号). The ship is 339 meters long and 38. 6 meters wide, with a golf field on it. It's so cool to take a trip on a ship!
