【推荐3】Anyunna Phillips, a teacher in Atlanta, wants her students to know that they can do anything confidently by making a rule. The rule is that every morning, students stand in front of a mirror. Some of their favourites are, “I’m strong!” and “I’m not afraid of anything!” After that, Anyunna cheers and agrees with them, sometimes offering a high five.

“It seems that students walk away from the mirror standing a little taller after doing that. I always remind them of their daily affirmations and tell them they can achieve anything. I really want to help them build their confidence, belief in themselves, and self﹣love, ” said Anyunna.

The students aren’t the only ones who are benefiting from Anyunna’s daily affirmations. She says her own mental health has improved since she started the program, and other teachers have followed suit in the school and are seeing success in other classrooms, too.
