Yuze is a middle school student from Beijing. Unluckily, he caught a car accident in Inner Mongolia (内蒙古) and was hurt badly.

Yuze’s family discussed with the local doctors and decided to send him back to Beijing by ambulance (救护车). The ambulance set off (出发) at 5:16 am and arrived at Beijing Tiantan Hospital at 10:36 am, completing the 520 km drive in five hours and 20 minutes. The ambulance driver said that the trip usually takes seven hours.

Thanks to the police and the public, Yuze could arrive at the hospital nearly two hours earlier. During the trip, Beijing police sent 19 messages on Weibo to update (更新) the place of the ambulance. They also sent messages to the cars along the way to ask them to make way for the ambulance. When the ambulance entered Beijing, the police sent a team to lead it to the hospital.

Now we are not sure if Yuze will be OK, but we’ll be watching closely for any changes.

Rainy season came. One day when the postman left after giving letters, his footprints were left on the west soil. The girl came out with a piece of paper, put it on the ground and took down pictures of the feet.

Diwali, a traditional festival, was about to come and people were busy preparing gifts for their family and friends. The postman bought a small chocolate for the girl. He handed it to the girl and said, “Take this small gift from your uncle’s side.”

The girl was happy and asked the postman to wait. Then she brought a big box and said, “Uncle, this is a gift from my side to you on Diwali.”

The postman was surprised. The girl continued, “Uncle, please don’t refuse my gift. I will be sad.”

The postman kept the box and lovingly put his hand on the girl’s head as if blessing her.
