With the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games behind us, the 19-year-old skier（滑雪运动员）Eileen Gu bagged two gold medals（金牌）and one silver（银牌）, which made her one of the most shining superstars this year.
Born to an American father and a Chinese mother, Gu decided to compete for China in Beijing Winter Olympics and she took pride in it. In August, 2019, she won her first gold medal for China at the Australia New Zealand Cup. Her power continued to grow in World Championships in March 2021.

While going to school in San Francisco, Gu could only practice on weekends. Three years ago, Bing Dwen Dwen became the mascot (吉祥物) for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
The design (设计) comes from 5,816 works from 38 countries and areas. Cao Xue, the chief designer of Bing Dwen Dwen, said the idea first came from the traditional Chinese snack bingtanghulu.
