Is it difficult for you to remember things? I’d like to tell you some ways to help improve your memory, so you shouldn’t feel upset.
My first advice is that if you want to remember something well, you have to review it regularly(有规律地). You might review the material two ways after you learn it, then a week later, then two weeks later, and then a month later. After a month you will find that you can easily remember the material.
(3) My second advice is to use a colored pen to highlight (标注)the important parts on your book. This will help you in two ways. First, it will help you pay attention to the most important parts when you learn the language. It is always easier to remember only the key points. Second, this will make reviewing easier. When you open your book, the colored parts will show you the most important things quickly. In this way, you don’t have to review all the material again.
Another piece of advice is to use the proper time well. First, review all this information in your mind right before you go to sleep. Your brain is working while you are sleeping. If you think about the information before you go to sleep, you might be able to remember it better. (4) Another good time for memorizing information is in the morning, because you have just rested and your brain is clear. So you might also try to review the important information in the morning.

It’s important to learn things about protecting environment. Here’s a 4Rs rule for us.
·Reduce
If you want to reduce waste, you should use things wisely. A large number of trees are being cut down to make paper. If everyone uses paper carelessly and then throws it away, soon we would not have any trees left. Some other things are also being wasted, and people don’t know what to do with waste in big cities, so it’s necessary to reduce waste.
·Reuse
You should always think of reusing the things before throwing them away. Give your clothes or things you don’t use to the poor. In a family, you may pass such clothes on to your younger brothers or sisters.
·Recycle
Bottles, cans and paper can easily be recycled. By doing so we save lots of time and money, for example, cola cans are sent to a factory, where they’re smashed flat(压平) and smelted(熔化), and the metal things are made into new cola cans.
·Repair
If one of the legs of your table is broken, you’d better repair it rather than throw it away. If you want to change for better ones, it’s better for you to sell the old ones or give them to other people who can use them after doing some repair.
1. What does the “Reduce” rule mainly require us to do?2. In a family, what should you do with the old clothes?

Are you happy when you look after a pet? 71 If so, you’re feeling joy. Joy is a feeling that comes from inside and cheers you up — even when things aren’t going well as you expect.
72
Joy is a kind of happiness that doesn’t depend on what’s going on around you. It means looking forward to a picnic even though it’s raining, or feeling excited about watching your favourite football team. Joy means something different to everyone.
Why is joy important?
Joy is like a box of happiness you own inside yourself, ready for when you need some encouragement. Discovering joy helps you to deal with problems in your life. 73 When you feel sad, it brings you great power to be stronger.
How can you find joy?
Ben-Shahar gives two ways. The first one is keeping things simple. If you’re doing 10 things at once, you won’t notice which one makes you happy. 74 Studies show that paying attention to good things that happen in life can make you happy. So Ben-Shahar thinks it’s a good way to write down small things you are thankful for every day.
A. What is the meaning of joy?
B. Another way to find joy is by being positive (乐观的).
C. Or do you feel happy when your favourite song is played?
D. You could find joy in swimming or watching plants grow.
E. When you get into trouble, it helps you to work out with courage.

It was reprinted seven times within months in the UK. Many people think Holmwood did a good job of explaining several that are “untranslatable" things

Like Holmwod, US translator Jerimiah Willhite also learned Chinese in college Last year. he translated the animated(画的) movie Ne Zha, a box-office hit in China. He said there were many terms that were hard to translate such as the Taoist spell jiji rulϋling(“急急如律令"). But reading Chinese literature(文学) helped him do it.
As more young people learn to translate Chinese texts and films, more Chinese stories will become available to new audiences.
