4th May2021 It will be Mother’s Day on Sunday. When I was little, I needed Mum for lots of things. I couldn’t put on my clothes. Now I don’t need Mum’s help to get dressed. Even Tom (the laziest boy in the world!) can wash clothes by himself. We will both help out at home for the whole day this Sunday. We are going to make a surprise dinner for Mum. I can’t wait! 6th May 2021 What a terrible day! It kept raining. I fell over in the street. I was as wet as a fish! My uniform was dirty! I dropped my homework on the ground. It was quite wet and Miss Lee was angry with me. What’s worse, Sam and Jim played by themselves at break and didn’t ask me to join in. I felt sad. What a day! 7th May 2021 I was unhappy and I didn’t want to go to school this morning. Mum gave me a big hug. Then she told me a funny story about when I was younger. When I was five, I loved school. One day I put on my uniform and got my schoolbag on a Sunday! I felt much better after talking to Mum and school was OK. 9th May 2021 Happy Mother’s Day! Tom and I made a card for Mum. She loved it. We helped Mum with the housework. Then we made a big meal for her with Dad’s help. We made Mum’s favorite food—Russian soup! It was tiring but we were happy. Help in the garden
Where can you see some of the most beautiful gardens in the world? The UK!
Every spring, there is the Chelsea Flower Show in London. It is one of the most popular garden and flower shows in the world. People show off their creativity with trees and flowers.
But you don’t have to be an expert to garden. Anyone can do it. This is why in Britain helping with the gardening is popular with kids.
As a child my dad was the “master” of the garden. He often asked me to help him with the outdoor work. He would mow the lawn as I watered the trees and plants.
Gardening is more interesting than indoor housework. It is relaxing as you hear the birds sing. It is also great to see flowers grow from a small seed into a big plant. This teaches kids patience and dedication: two useful skills for life.

【推荐3】It was a perfect June day. My family and I decided to go whitewater rafting (急流泛舟). My father decided to bring us to go without a guide at this new, hard situation. Mom and I were upset by my dad’s decision, but my brother was pleased with it. Then we took a bus to the icy cold water. Having received the training, we began our own rafting.
Within the first hour, we got stuck on two rocks. Another raft had to hit ours to get us off the rocks. After about two hours, we saw a huge rock on the right side of the river. It was coming out of the water about ten feet high and about fifteen feet wide. Somehow, we ended up on top of this rock. Then water started rushing towards my brother. When he started falling into the water, I tried to pull him back. Unfortunately, we fell off together. My mother jumped in after us, but she could only get to my brother. My dad jumped onto the bank of the river to see where I was. At that moment I was picked up by a man in another raft. I kept crying. Thankfully, everyone was fine.
When we got back in our raft, we had only two paddles for four people. We all knew it was going to take long to get to the end. One of the guides for another raft told us that there was an earlier place we could get out, but we had to carry our raft and walked for a mile. At that point, no one really cared if we had to do anything after we got out of the water. We finally got to the ending point, wet and cold.
To this day, I have never felt so cold in my life. I have not been rafting again. All of this happened because my dad did not hire a guide.
