I have three roses here: a red one, a yellow one and a white one. These roses are to thank three groups of people for the three most important things that I have learnt. These three things are friendship, effort and trust.

I give the red rose to my friends. When I started school here, my Chinese was not good, and some of my     2     (mistake) were very funny. I once tried to say “xiexie”, but I said “xiaxia” instead. This is my new school. It's a foreign language school(外国语学院). There are fifty-five     1     (class). There are about 50 students     2     a class. This is     3     (we) classroom. Zhang Guimei is the head teacher of Huaping High School for Girls in Lijiang, Yunnan.     1     was given the honor of “Role Model of the Times” on Dec. 10th, 2020 because of her work on education. Her moving stories inspire (激励) thousands     2     people in China.

About 20 years ago, on the     3     to a student’s home, Zhang Guimei saw a girl sitting on the road. The 13-year-old girl told Zhang she couldn’t go to school anymore     4     she was about to marry, which surprised Zhang so much. Zhang went to     5     girl’s home and tried to ask her parents to let the girl return to school.
