The book has some interesting scientific ideas in it, too. I enjoy reading about how they are able to quickly travel long distances through space. The main characters of the cartoon movie Phiding Nemo are a father and son called clownfish (小丑鱼).
At first, Father Marlin had a happy family, living a peaceful and “happy” life in the Great Barrier Reef (大堡碉) of Australia. In an accident Marlin’s wife Shan and most of their children were eaten by sharks, leaving his only son Nemo. After that huge blow, Marlin became coward (胆小的). Because of this, Nemo often argued with him and even looked down upon him. One day, Nemo swam alone to the bottom (底部) of a big ship and was caught by a man. He took Nemo to a dentist’s office in Sydney.
At the bottom of the Reef, the news of Nemo’s sudden disappearance (消失) was a great sadness for Marlin. Although coward, Marlin decided to keep up with the Australian current (洋流) to find Nemo.
Although he had made up his mind, it didn’t mean that Martin could overcome (克服) his coward character (性格) overnight. Several terrible chases (追赶) by Bruce, a great white shark, made him nearly lose the hope of their father-son reunion. Luckily, Martin met Dory, a big warm-hearted fish. Although her forgetfulness often made Marlin laugh or cry, with Dory’s help, Marlin understood step by step how to overcome his inner fear and that there was something worth taking risks in life.
The adventures (冒险) of the two fish in the Pacific Ocean brought them all kinds of friends and crises (危机). Finally, Marlin overcame all the difficulties to find his son, who tried everything he could to run away from the dentist’s into the ocean. But soon he together with his father, Dory and other fish were caught in a big net. With a great teamwork, they saved themselves and returned home safely.
