Most restaurants sell lots of dishes, but not all dishes are created the same. Most dishes can be divided into four kinds: Stars: popular dishes with high profits (利润) Plow Horses: popular dishes with low profits Dogs: unpopular dishes with low profits Puzzles: unpopular dishes with high profits Example of stars include pizzas and noodles, which are popular and cheap to make, especially in great amount. They make most profits for a restaurant. The restaurants are always trying to take money out from your pocket. So what methods do they take? Let’s have a look. ★ Dishes “For Two”. The price written on the menu is for single person, and “per person (单人价)” is very small, at the bottom of the menu. Of course everyone forgets to multiply (乘) it by two. ★ Good use of words. How to make ice cream in a bag You need 1 spoon of sugar, 1/2 cup of half and half, 1/4 spoon of vanilla extract (香草精), ice, salt, a big bag, and a small bag. What you will do: First, take the small bag and add 1 spoon of sugar, 1/2 cup of half and half and 1/4 spoon of vanilla extract to the small bag. Next, add three glasses of ice to the big bag. You can add more or less just to make sure the small bag will be covered by ice. Then, pour about 1/2 cup of salt in the big bag. The salt helps the ice get cold so you can add more if you like. When it’s ready, place the small bag in the big bag and seal tightly (系紧). You need to shake the bag for about five minutes. At last, take the small bag out and be careful not to open it. Wipe off (擦去) any salt on the bag. Now open the bag, and you can enjoy your ice cream. You can finish all the work in less than ten minutes. |

The best time to collect green leaves is early in the leafing season but not so early. The months of June and July provide the best leaf samples(样品), but you can find great leaf samples throughout the summer. To make a fall color collection, you have to collect the leaves in autumn.
I have seen many beautiful fall color collections.
When you choose leaves for your samples, try to choose leaves of about the same size and shape on the tree. Make sure you collect the entire(完整的)leaves.
Remember, some leaves have only one blade(叶片)or leaflet(小叶). Some leaves have a few or many leaflets. You must know these two kinds of leaves. Good leaf collectionscontainthe entire leaves.
You should dry the collected leaves carefully before putting them in a leaf press(压). When you collect leaves in the field, you can put them between the pages of a book to protect them. So my parents decided they’d take me and my younger sister on a course, so that we could all find out how to make bread and pizza, our favourite food! We booked our places, and set off for Oakton Farm in the countryside.
It was a very long drive, and when we arrived we went straight to bed. The next morning we got up early, fed the ducks on the lake, and looked at the bull in the next field. Then we met our teacher, Michael, who seemed quite strict, and the other parents and children, who were really friendly.
The cooking part was wonderful. Michael gave us long white coats to wear, which we all felt a bit silly in. Then we all made bread rolls, mixing flour and water with our hands. My sister kept complaining (抱怨) at first. Then even she started to enjoy it, and to concentrate on following the instructions. Dad made lots of mess, I got flour on the floor and in my hair, and Mum didn’t even get angry! I took ages to make my rolls, though.
We finally put our initials on the bottom of each roll, then made some pizzas and decorated them, which was fun. And we didn’t even have to do the washing-up! For something to do while the pizzas were cooking, we all went for a swim in the lake. It was fantastic. Then we went back inside and ate our pizzas. They were the best we’d ever tasted!

RECIPES > MAIN DISHES > DUMPLING RECIPES Armenian-Style Manti Dumplings By John updated on April 6, 2024 Jiaozi is a common Chinese dumpling like a human ear.
