A dance performance called The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting(《只此青绿》)was considered the most amazing program at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala.
The creators of the poetic dance drama(舞蹈诗剧)got inspiration from a great ancient Chinese painting, A Panorama of Mountains and Rivers(《千里江山图》)by Wang Ximeng. Wang was a painter from the Song Dynasty. He spent more than half a year finishing the painting when he was only 18. Now the painting is at the Palace Museum. It has been on show to the public only four times since 1949. The 11.9-meter-long painting is a record of people’s lives and the natural scenery including mountains, rivers and villages of that time.
The poetic dance drama tells the story of a researcher from the Palace Museum who has spent all his time studying the painting. We can follow him to the moment when Wang was about to finish the artwork. “It is not to tell people how great the painting is, but to help people understand traditional Chinese culture,” says Xie Suhao, who plays the character.
Since last August, the dance poetic drama has been played more than 50 times in over 18 cities in China. “I hope our dance can be performed on more and bigger stages to show more people all over the world a beautiful China with a mix of old and new,” says Meng Qingyang, the lead dancer of Poetic Dance The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting.

Talk it out. Communication is the key to any friendship. Open your mouth and let your dad know what’s on your mind. Give him a chance to get to know you.
Listen up. Your dad’s lived more life than you have. Believe it or not, he’s probably been there and can help you get through the pressures and struggles. Ask how he dealt with school, girls or temptations (诱惑). Then pay attention.
Take some time. It can be hard for us kids to talk about what really matters. But spending time together can build the relationship, and create chances to talk. Go for a hike or a game. Work on the car. Whatever you’re into, ask your dad to do it together.
Fight fair. Family disagreements are unavoidable. When temperatures rise, keep your mouth respectful and cool off before you say something bad. Talk it out when you can do so calmly.
Realize respect. Face it: your dad’s been given authority (权威) to help guide you as you know. He’s going to make mistakes, but so are you. Forgive him when he blows it, and honor his decisions—even if you don’t agree.

Although there are a lot of differences in cultures, heroes around the world generally share a number of characteristics(特点) which give us courage and make us want to learn from them.
A hero does something worth talking about. A hero has a special story to tell and people think highly of it. But a hero is not just the person with great fame(声誉).
A hero has powers(力量) larger than himself. Some people want to live like a hero, and they have to experience life with new and further meaning. A sure test for would-be heroes is what or whom they serve. What do they want to live and die for? If the answer suggests they serve only their own fame, they may be famous persons but not heroes.
A hero has a vision from the mountaintop. He has the power to move people. He creates new possibilities. Without Gandhi, India might still be part of Britain. Without Martin Luther King, Jr., Americans might take different buses, eat in different restaurants, go for walks in different parks, and shop in different stores because of the different colours of their skin.
There might be changes in society without a hero, but the speed of change would be rather slow. Thanks to heroes in history, they make the society develop so rapidly.
