What has many rings but is not a shopping mall? It is Saturn (土星). Its rings look really beautiful! But unluckily, they will disappear within 300 million years because of “ring rain”. Saturn’s rings are made of ice and rocks. The gravity (重力) pulls these things and makes them fall down to the planet. About 600,000kg of these things fall every minute! They could fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool in half an hour. Scientists don’t have an answer how the rings came out. Some think that large comets (彗星) hit Saturn’s moons. The moons then broke up into pieces and became the rings. Others think the rings are just part of Saturn. Saturn has seven main rings. They are different in size and width. E ring is the farthest from Saturn. It is the largest planet ring in our solar system(太阳系).

The Moon moves around the Earth. It makes one trip in about four weeks. The Moon looks flat (平坦的) to us. But it is a round (圆形的) ball, like the Earth.
People once thought the Moon had fire on it. They thought the fire made it bright. Now we know the Moon is like a mirror. It gets its light from the Sun.
The sunlight comes from the Sun too. The Sun gives us light and warmth (温暖). It makes plants grow and turns leaves green. It makes life possible on the Earth. It is a life-giving star.

Mercury水星
It’s the closest planet to the Sun. In the daytime, the temperature can be 430℃. At night it cools down to -200℃. There’s one area that the Sun can never reach. There’s lots of ice there. Maybe we could go speed skating there!
Mars 火星
The temperature on Mars is between -140℃ and 30℃. At the north and south poles of Mars, there are areas covered by ice and snow. Some of the ice is made of carbon dioxide, not water. There is also a big mountain called Mount Olympus. So maybe we can ski on Mars!
Pluto 冥王星
Pluto is a dwarf planet(矮行星) far away from the Sun. It’s very cold there, about -229℃. There’s lots of ice. It’s even harder than steel(钢铁). So maybe we could go sledding(滑雪橇) on Pluto.

A.430℃ | B.30℃ | C.-200℃ | D.-140℃ |

We all need a healthy environment, but we produce waste every day and it often results in lots of pollution. In fact, even the simplest everyday activities can make a difference to the environment. Here are some ideas for you.
Reduce. It means “use less”. It suggests people should produce less pollution and throw less rubbish. People should reduce waste by buying fewer things. So before we are going to buy a new thing, try to think whether it is really necessary for us.
Reuse. Reuse means “use again”. It asks people to use things as long time as possible. When we buy things, guarantee that we really need them and we can use them for a long time. We should value them so that we can use them for a longer time. And if we can, we should repair (修理) them instead of throwing them away and buying new ones. Don’t use a paper cup or a paper bag. If we can use a china (陶瓷) up or a lunch box, we are doing something green and helpful.
Recycle. Recycle means “use in a new way”. Many people encourage people to recycle things. Look at these examples. People often recycle old or waste electrical things and try to create some new things with some parts from the old ones. Second, some people try to make some bags with old clothes. At last, people often clean the house or water plants with used water.

In the following 38 years there were ups and downs, but they put in hard work to win the game.
The spirit of the women’s volleyball team is not to win the championship, but to fight tooth and nail, no matter how difficult the situation is!” said head coach Lang Ping. Months ago, at an exhibition (展览会) in the UK, we saw some things about what was science in 1923. It gave us the idea for the question: What will science be in 2123? Then we asked some experts for their ideas.
Dr. Maggie Aderin-Pocock, space scientist:
I think people in 2123 will work hard to develop technology for interstellar (星际的) travel. If successful, we humans could get to our next-door star system Alpha Centauri not in 76,000 years but in just 20 years. It would change humans’ understanding of the universe (宇宙). And in 100 years, people may be able to answer the question “Are we alone in the universe?”
Professor Steve Brusatte at University of Edinburgh:
I think in 100 years, people will see big improvements on medical science. Well, of course, doctors in 2123 will still use many of the medicines created in the 2020s. And I think that if there is an exhibition (展览) of today’s things in 2123, it will have some masks (防护面具) we used during the COVID-19 pandemic (新冠疫情).
Professor Andrea Sella at University College London:
I think in the future, people will look back on the small steps of quantum (量子) computers and laugh at our worry about AI (人工智能). At the same time, they may have to stand more terrible weather. They will wonder why we didn’t act to stop the world from warming by 4℃—5℃.
