The year is 2035 and robots are just as common as mobile phones. People depend on (依靠) their robots to do lots of things, for example, babysitting, doing chores and taking their dogs for a walk. Robots have to obey (服从) humans’ orders, because their designers make them do so. A police officer called Spooner hates robots. He doesn’t think humans can get on well with their robots at all! But the scientist Susan has different opinions. Susan works on robots’ mind and she thinks one day robots will become more powerful (强大的) than humans and help humans to make progress (进步).

When Spooner and Susan work together, they find that something is wrong with the world’s robots. A few robots have their own thoughts and they’re trying to get out of humans’ control (控制)! Of course these robots’ dream doesn’t come true. Humans work hard to control their robots again and they succeed at last.

Many people enjoy travelling. There are many ways to travel: by plane, by train, by ship or by car. Everyone has their favourite way.

When you get tired of your work or study, and when you have free time, you can choose a beautiful place or other cities. You can enjoy fresh (新鲜的) air, meet different people and make friends with them. It is fun to talk with local people during the trip. And if we choose to travel by train, we can spend a lot of time reading books or magazines on the way.

But sometimes, travelling is not an enjoyable thing. For example, the weather can be changeable. It may be rainy when you travel. If you go out without an umbrella, you may get wet and catch a cold. The worst thing is that the thieves (小偷) may steal your money. All these may happen to a tourist.

Life is full of the unexpected. On October 28, 2020, a serious traffic accident happened in Chongqing. A bus and a red car collided(碰撞) at the second bridge of the Yangtze River. The bus ran out of control on the bridge and crashed into the river. All 15 passengers and the driver in the bus were killed.

At the beginning of the accident, many people doubted that the red car was going the wrong way, causing the bus to fall into the river. Others guessed that the accident was caused by the driver’s sudden illness. However, a few days later, based on the black box, which was saved from the scene of the accident, together with the traffic records, the police announced(宣布) the truth.

Before the bus reached the bridge, a female passenger had a quarrel with the bus driver because she missed her station, but the driver refused to stop the bus. So she got angry and got into a fight with him. Because the bus speed was very high, the bus was out of control.

People from all walks of life paid more attention to the accident and expressed their opinions. Some people think the woman passenger made the trouble without reasons. She was regarded as the chief culprit(罪魁祸首). She shouldn’t have argued with the driver. Some people think drivers shouldn’t fight with passengers and they should keep calm and put the passengers’ safety first at any time. As for the other passengers, they failed to dissuade(劝阻) the two in time. Of course they didn’t know the result would be so serious.

Nowadays, tens of thousands of people die or get hurt on the roads every year in China. In my opinion, all of us should follow the rules and put the safety in our heart.

One morning, when Jack was having breakfast, he told his family he would take them to see a film in the evening. That made them very happy. When he opened the door of his car, a stray dog (流浪狗)sleeping under his car suddenly came out and bit him! He was so angry that he threw a rock at the dog, but he missed. So he became even angrier.

After reaching his office, Jack called a meeting of his managers. During the meeting, he took out his anger on his managers. And they couldn’t reach any agreements about the business. His managers were upset about Jack’s anger, and took out their own anger on the people working under them. Finally, Jack’s anger spread through his whole company.

Jack was still angry after returning home. His wife opened the door and asked him, “Why are you so late, my dear?” “I didn’t go to the office to play soccer. I went to work. So don’t ask me such stupid questions!” Jack shouted.

His wife was angry because she was shouted at for no reason. She turned her anger on their son, Steven, “This is all you do. You have no interest in studying! Turn off the TV now!” She yelled(大喊).
