What do you think being beauty really means? All answers to that question are correct, because there are no right or wrong replies. Despite(不管) what society tries to make us believe, there is no “ideal” beauty. There are exact standards—hair colour, or eye colour—that make someone beautiful. Think about it: did you consider someone to be really beautiful, but your friend didn’t see it? That’s because different people have different ideas.

Weight-loss companies and clothing industries seem to have made it their goal to get us believe that we are not enough and that we need all kinds of things to be prettier. It’s not true! Companies sell us these ideas for their products to make money. I’m not saying that buying beauty products is bad, but what would be bad is using them because you feel like you have to look a certain way in order to be “beautiful”.

Here are some tips for you. Remember, the people wear tons of make-up and are photoshopped in order to look perfect. When you see a girl who society considers as a “great body”, you have to remember that people have different body types and everyone’s body is different. Everyone has beauty of their own. We’re all beautiful, whether we’re slim, thickset or anywhere in between. If you want to lose weight, go ahead, but do it in a healthy way and do it for the right reason—not because you want to fit in. Being comfortable with yourself is really important, and being with others who accept you as you are and don’t ask you to change to look a specific(特定的) way is important too.

Keep Safe in a Car!

Cars can bring us lots of fun and convenience, but they could also bring us much danger. So we have to be very careful when we drive them or ride in them.

First, it's always a good idea to put on seat belt when you're in a car. Why? Think about this example: You put an egg on a skateboard and give it a push. If the skateboard hits a stone on its way or another skateboard hits yours, it will stop, but the egg won't—it will fly through the air, fall down to the ground and break. Again, think about what would happen if you tie the egg to the skateboard. When the skateboard hits a stone or another skateboard hits yours, the egg won't go flying—it will stay safely on the skateboard. Now you must know how important it is to put on your seat belt when you're in a car.

Air bags are also very important to car safety because sometimes a seat belt isn't enough. If the car goes really fast and runs into something, seat belts could even hurt the people who wear them. So most of the newest cars have air bags in front of and next to the seats. When the car hits something at a fast speed, its air bags will come out quickly—in less than one second to keep the people inside safe.

1. You must know __________________to put on your seat belt when you’re in a car.
