With only a middle school education, Chen began studying English at the age of 40 and passed a college entrance exam, turning herself from a factory worker to an office lady in an international trade company.

Chen continued to learn after she retired (退休), studying art and finally becoming an art guide at the age of 67. Over the past five years, she has guided visitors at the UCCA Center for Modern Art for 3,500 hours in total, three days a week on average (平均)!
