Star runner Su Bingtian said China’s first Olympic sprint medal(短跑奖牌)means a lot to him. On May 19th, 2022, the International Olympic Committee(国际奥委会)decided to give the Tokyo 2020 men’s 4×100m third prize to the Chinese relay(接力)team.

Su, along with Tang Xingqiang, Xie Zhenye and Wu Zhiqiang, finished fourth in the final at last summer’s Tokyo Olympic Games. But the British silver winner broke anti-doping(反兴奋剂)rules and his medal was canceled.

The 32-year-old became a national hero after running 9.83 seconds to make the men’s 100m final at Tokyo 2020. He set a new Asian record. He led the Chinese men’s 4×100m relay team to the fourth place in 37.79 seconds at last summer’s Tokyo Olympic Games.

“I want to borrow the gold medal from her and take a photo because I never saw an Olympic medal,” he said after he saw the shot(铅球)putter Gong Lijiao win the gold in Tokyo last year. Now, his dream has come true.

【推荐2】People in the Netherlands(荷兰) were very excited in April. That was because they welcomed the first pair of Chinese pandas on April 13th. The two cute pandas named Xing Ya and Wu Wen are both more than 3 years old. They would spend 15 years in this country for special research(研究).

The pandas lived at a zoo in Rhenen, a city of about 20,000 people in central Netherlands. The zoo, with about 500 thousand visitors each year, built the most beautiful panda house in history for the pandas.
