【推荐1】The capital of the UK is one of my favourite cities in the world. I started my London travel with a visit to the Tower of London. It is home to the English Crown Jewels. I arrived when the tower opened. It was about 9 a.m. There was a lot to see and I spent the whole morning there.

Coming out of the tower, I found myself right next to the Tower Bridge. I had learned about its history and how people built it before I came to London. I also learned how the lifting mechanism (机械装置) worked to let ships through before I visited it. I experienced the Glass Floor, a high-level walkway of the bridge. It was so exciting! 【推荐3】I am on the road a lot for my job and have seen a lot of accidents.

One day, I was heading to a far-away town. To get there, I had to take a busy road that had a lot of blind curves (弯道) and hills. I made my way around a curve and down a hill when I saw a car in my lane (车道) suddenly move into the other lane. It caused the cars in the other lane to slam on their brakes. In return, the cars behind them slammed their brakes as well. Still, some of the cars hit each other and caused accidents on the road.

After a while, things were almost cleaned up. All the cars drove away. Still, I saw a big rock in the road. I thought I’d move it to stop another accident from happening again. And just as I got out of my car to pick it up (捡起), I saw a guy on the other side of the road running along the highway (公路) to pick up the same rock.
