On the night of February 6, 2022, China defeated South Korea 3-2 and became the winner of AFC Women’s Asian Cup (亚洲杯) in India.

“Although the players come from different cities, we need to come together. We never let our heads drop when we were 0-2 down.” said the head coach Shui Qingxia.

The win didn’t come easily. In the first half of the second leg, Team China was still 2-0 behind. Luckily, player Wang Shuang scored two goals later.

Stapleton buys the huge dog in London and takes it to Devon by train. He walks across the moor with it to make sure no one sees him with the dog. He finds a hiding place for the animal in the old tin mine (锡矿). And he keeps his hound there while he is waiting for his chance.

He paints the dog with phosphorus (磷), and gets it to jump over the small gate and run after Sir Charles. The huge black creature is a dreadful sight. Sir Charles runs away screaming and falls dead on the path from shock (震惊). Then Stapleton takes the hound back to its hiding place, so Sir Charles’s death is a mystery to all.

Anne has now been at Green Gables for a year. It was summer and an exciting time in the village. Mr. Phillips, the school teacher, was leaving, and there was a new minister for the church. He was Mr. Allan. Even more exciting was that he had a lovely young wife, Mrs. Allan, who would be the new teacher. Everyone liked them and invited them to tea.

Anne liked Mrs. Allan immediately because they could ask her any question they like. “I’m good at asking questions, Marilla.”

“I believe you,” said Marilla. “We must have Mr. and Mrs. Allan up to tea sometime soon,” she added.

Marilla and Anne prepared for tea all Monday and Tuesday. They made a great deal of food. Marilla wanted to give Mr. and Mrs. Allan the best tea of any family in the village.

Wednesday morning came. Anne got up very early because she was too excited to sleep. After breakfast, she made her cake. The cake came out of the oven looking perfect.

The minister and his wife arrived, and they all enjoyed a lovely tea. Everything went well until Anne’s cake was passed around.

“Oh, you must take a piece of this, Mrs. Alan,” said Marilla. “Anne made it just for you.”

“In that case I must try it,” laughed Mrs. Allan. She took a mouthful and a strange look came onto her face.

Marilla tried hers and said, “Anne! What on earth is in this cake?”

“Oh, isn’t it all right?” cried Anne. “It’s terrible. What flavoring did you use?” “Vanilla,” said Anne. “Go and get the vanilla.”

Anne returned with the bottle. Marilla took it and smelled it.

“Anne, you’ve flavored that cake with medicine! I broke a bottle of medicine last week and poured the rest of it in this old vanilla bottle. Couldn’t you smell it?

Anne was crying on her bed.

“Don’t cry, My dear little girl. It’s just a funny mistake, and everybody can make mistakes.” said Mrs. Allan.
