Do you know Tang Shuai? He is China’s only sign language lawyer (手语律师). He was born in 1985 in Chongging. His parents can’t hear or speak. After Tang was born, his father sent him to his grandparents’ home, so he could talk to others. They wanted him to be healthy. But when Tang was old enough (足够), he hoped to learn more about his parents and communicate with them, so he decided to learn sign language.

One day in 2006, a mother asked him to help her daughter who couldn’t speak. Someone thought the girl took away his mobile phone, but she didn’t do that. With the help of Tang Shuai, people finally knew the fact. After that, Tang Shuai decided to be a sign language lawyer to help more people. He worked hard and became a lawyer six years later.

Now Tang Shuai spends lots of his free time on legal education (法律教育). He hopes that there will be more sign language lawyers in China.

【推荐2】Zhang Guimei is a head teacher of a Chinese high school. In 2008. She built the free women’s high school for girls from poor families with the support of the government. And she was praised by CCTV a few days ago.

About 20 years ago, Zhang Guimei was a teacher in Huaping county. One day a girl said to Zhang, “My parents want me to get married, because they have no money to keep me in school.” “But I want to go to school,” the girl said.
