Hangzhou is an old and beautiful city in China. People call this     1     “Heaven on the Earth(人间天堂)”. The West Lake Park is a beautiful park in Hangzhou. Many people like to go there for a trip on weekends. Children like to     2     kites in the park. And they often have a good time there with     3     parents. The old people like     4     songs and dancing there. They like to talk with each other in the park,     5    . And some young people like to read books there.     6     October, there are many beautiful flowers near the lake. So the West Lake always looks nice at that time.

In Hangzhou, there are shared bikes everywhere. You can ride a     7     to many places. If you like tea, you can drink     8     cup of Longjing tea in Hangzhou. During my recent travels in China, I went from the top to the bottom of the country. I was astonished at     1     different the weather was in different cities.

The weather was     2     (extreme) cold in Harbin, but felt much warmer in Shanghai, Guilin, Qingdao and Yangshuo. Each city has a different feel and allows you     3     (experience) different things.

In Qingdao, we ate seafood,     4     (drink) beer and swam in the sea. In Harbin, we wore our warmest jackets and saw the     5     (amaze) ice and snow sculptures. Shanghai reminded me     6     a city in Europe or America. There were lots of Western cafes there. Guilin was a good place to be touring around during the Spring Festival. Fireworks filled the sky and the streets were filled with happy people.

But Yangshuo     7     (be) my favorite city of all. I could not stop taking     8     (photo) of the beautiful mountains and the Li River. I rode a bicycle along the Yulong River in the warm sun and I ate strawberries and drank tea     9     came from farms in the mountains.

Now, back in Beijing, I am looking forward to the next trip. I suppose I     10     (go) to another warm place next time.

If you are doing business about electronics today, you are sure to know about Shenzhen. For me, I am     1     Australian. My company     2     (success) sold the products made in Shenzhen in Australia, and that brought me to Shenzhen.

Shenzhen is one of China’s Special Economic Zones (经济特区) set up in the 1980s. It has grown to be a city famous     3     electronic products. Shenzhen is a modern city. You can get around in a taxi, but using metros or buses is much cheaper and more convenient. I visited only parts of Futian, Nanshan, and Luohu districts during my stay.

The     4     (one) place I visited in Shenzhen was the shopping area     5     sells almost all kinds of electronics at reasonable prices. In the evening, I     6     (hang) out with my friends in that area and had great fun     7     (speak) to folks from the US, Germany, and other     8     (country). Although my trip was short my visit to Shenzhen gave me a much     10     (clear) picture of this city. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Greenland is the largest island in the world. It is in the north of Europe. Near Greenland is another     1    . They are not far     2     each other. It is small and     3     name is Iceland. Do you think that Greenland is green and warm? Do you think that Iceland is white with ice? If you do, you are     4    . Not many people live on the big island of Greenland. There must be     5     people in your hometown than in all of Greenland. That’s     6     Greenland is not green. Greenland is white. Most of the island is covered with lots of ice.     7     ice on Greenland is higher than the world’s highest building. What about Iceland? Is it colder than Greenland? No, it is not. Iceland has ice, but not as     8     ice as Greenland. It has a lot of hot springs（泉）. They give out hot water and steam. The weather is not     9     cold as Greenland. So compared with Greenland, a lot more people     10     to live in Iceland. What about your hometown? What is it like?
