Xia’s journey to bringing creative experiments into his teaching began six years ago. His idea came from a wish to interest his first students in 2017, who had difficulty learning physics.     3     Since then, Xia has started bringing experiments into his physics classes. “A year later, I noticed a great improvement in their grades,” he shared.

Over the years, Xia has done over 200 experiments in his classes, nearly one experiment a week. At first, he put up his videos online just for sharing. In February 2021, one of his videos unexpectedly became popular, bringing him over 10,000 followers.     4     As a result, this ordinary (普通的) teacher found himself becoming an Internet star with over a million fans.
