Ballet
Ballet teaches grace, posture (姿势) and flexibility. Students focus on the use of proper ballet items (物品), expanding their knowledge of classical ballet techniques and improving motor skills for classical ballet practice. The class is a formal ballet class.

Creative Movers
Students can explore creative movement, balance, focus, the development of skills, motor planning and balance. The class helps build strength, flexibility and self-confidence, and allows children to realize expression in a positive and encouraging environment. Children use their imagination to celebrate movement and have lots of fun.

Jazz
Jazz includes movements from both classical ballet and dance techniques. This class will focus on traditional Jazz dance. Students will be introduced to jazz-style rhythms and movements. In order to ensure proper placement for your child, we invite all students to participate in a sample (示例) class. Students and parents work with program staff to meet students’ personal dance goals.

Hip Hop
Students will be introduced to several different aspects of hip hop dance including Popping, Locking, Breaking and Tutting in a high-energy environment. Our hip hop instructors are highly knowledgeable and will provide students with a wonderful view of hip hop dance.

2 . Scientists have long known that a crow （乌鸦）native to New Caledonia is able to use tools. The birds use them to remove food from deep holes. Now, American researchers have discovered a second species of crow with the same ability. They reported on their experiments with Alala crows, which are from the Hawaiian Islands.
In the experiment, the researchers placed pieces of food in holes inside the wood. The holes were too deep for the crows to reach with their beaks(鸟喙). But, by using small pieces of wood held in their beaks, Alala crows quickly got the food. They used small objects as tools, sometimes changing them by shortening too-long sticks. They also made tools from plant materials.
“The crows use their beaks as people use thumbs on their hands. Tool use is rare in the animal kingdom. ” said Chritian Rutz of University of St. Andrews. “Current evidence strongly suggests that tool use is part of the species’ natural behavioral pattern(行为模式). These birds had no special training in the study, yet most of them were skilled at handling stick tools. ”
Bird experts claim finding out that the crows use tools is important discovery. “It makes us rethink how to look at the whole tool-use idea now and encourages us to go out and look for things that we may have ignored before. ”
All the Alala crows left in the world live in Hawaii. There were less than 20 Alalas left in the late 1990s when scientists decided to bring them into a protected area. Now, it is reported that there are over 100 birds living there. Scientists plan to release a small number of the birds back into the wild later.

3 . I grew up five minutes from Clapham Junction station in south London. Our house backed onto the railway, so the regular sound of passing trains was a sound I found noisy. 5 . Off-duty firefighter Roben Duge smelled the smoke, saw the flames and heard the screams from his neighbor's house and thought instantly of his own family. The heroic smoke eater pulled a grandmother and two children from a burning house, on Thursday night, while walking home from his job at Ladder 103 in Brooklyn.
“I’m not a hero, I'm just reacting off instinct (本能),” the fearless father said on Friday at home, right next door to the fire-damaged house. His wife Crystal disagreed “It’s just who he is.” He is a superman.
The mild-mannered firefighter was heading home from the subway when he noticed the thick black smoke pouring out of his neighbor’s house. “A child playing downstairs in the basement accidentally started the fire and he was too frightened to tell his grandmother as the flames spread quickly,” reporters said. Duge, a five-year FDNY experienced firefighter, started rushing toward the two-storeyed residence when he saw the smoke. Visions of his own three kids flashed through his mind. “When I heard the kids screaming, I realized it from the bottom of my heart,” Duge told the Daily Neivs. “I thought how I could get in deep enough because I didn’t have any equipment and I didn’t know how dangerous it was.”
The grandmother, a stroke victim, was merely able to get around on her own when he made his way inside. “The lady could stand up, but she needed assistance to walk and the kids were screaming and scared to death,” said Duge.
After getting the three residents out of their house, he assisted them over to his home. The fire was brought under control about half an hour after it started. Duge, reflecting on his daring rescue, shrugged (耸肩) off the praise that was arrived via text and voicemail from fellow firefighters. “We often operate in chaos and we do put ourselves at risk,” said the FDNY officer.
