I love running. I started running in 2016, look forward to building up my body. Every weekday I stay actively by running on the track with other student. On weekends, in company by my father, I typically get out to explore the neighborhood in that I live. If the weather is bad, I usually take my advantage of the treadmill(跑步机)at home. The other day I go for a 22-km run. I was very exciting,“Wow, I've been running such long distance,”I will plan to keep increasing the distance over the next few weeks, but I'm sure I will make it.
Physical exercise is very important for our bodies in order for us to stay healthy. The food we eat turns into our body's source of energy. When we exercise, the energy we get from food allows our heart to send blood to our muscles. Exercise makes our heart and muscles stronger and it can also refresh our mind. If you exercise regularly, we will feel better and have a more pleasant view on life.
Some western countries, such as the United States, have problems with the lack of exercise done in their society. In the US, many people don't exercise because it is hard for them to find the time. Most people work from dawn until dusk, and by the time they get home from work they are too tired to go to the gym. While they are at work, they do not get much exercise sitting at their desk passively.
Some Westerners can get exercise from walking to work. However, the majority of people cannot do this because they live too far from their work, so they have no choice but to drive or take.

Every year, and more parents complain to their children’s schools about PE. They believe that their children shouldn’t have to participate in physical activity if they don’t want to. Supporters of PE, however, believe that it is a necessary element of all-round schooling and our society’s well-being. They insist PE in schools remains one of the few places by which the youth can be forced to participate in aerobic exercise.
Firstly, they believe that participation in sport promotes health. In fact physical education is a springboard for involvement in sport and physical activities throughout life. Government is, or should be, concerned with the health of its citizens. Encouraging physical activity in the young through compulsory PE fights child overweight and contributes to forming lifelong habits of exercise. This doesn’t have to be through traditional team sports; increasingly schools are able to offer exercise in the form of swimming, gymnastics, dance, etc.
Besides, physical education help to develop character and the mutual respect required to succeed in an adult environment. Playing team sports builds character and encourages students to work with others, as they would be expected to do in most business or sporting environments. Sport teaches children how to win and lose with good grace and builds a strong school spirit through competition with other institutions. It is often the experience of playing on a team together that builds the strongest friendships at school, which endure for years afterwards.
Finally, the pursuit for national sporting achievement begins in school. If schools don’t have compulsory PE, it is much harder to pick out, develop and equip athletes to represent the country on a wider stage. However, it’s much easier to find suitable individuals with a full sports program in every school.

8 . The Greatest show on Earth
The Olympic Games are the greatest festival of sports in the world. Every four years, many countries send their best sportsmen to compete for the highest honour in sport. As many as 6,000 people take part in over 20 sports. For the winners, there are gold medals and glory. But there is honour, too, for all who compete, win or lose. That is in the spirit of the Olympics—to take part is what matters.
The Olympic Games always start in a bright colour and action. The teams of all the nations parade in the opening ceremony and march round the track.
