Parents     1     (advise) to include fish into their children’s diets after     2     study found eating one to three servings of fish each week is linked with higher IQs and better sleep.

The US researchers analyzed the IQs, fish-eating habits and sleeping patterns of over 500 Chinese children     3     (age) 9 to 11. They found children who ate fish weekly scored nearly five points higher on IQ tests than those who didn’t. Children who had fish sometimes had a roughly three-IQ-point advantage     4     those who didn’t or rarely ate it.

The finding builds on     5     (exist) research about the positive effects of Omega-3 fatty acids. “Omega 3s in fish have been tied to intelligence and sleep independently,     6     they’ve never all been connected before,” a researcher said.

The study also questioned parents on their children’s quality of sleep, including how often they wake in the middle of the night and “daytime sleepiness.” It found, “increased fish     7     (consume) was associated with fewer disturbances of sleep.”

Li Songshan, aged 42, is a villager in Lilou, Henan province. Due to a delay in the treatment of meningitis (脑膜炎) at the age of four, his parents     8     (think) Li could not be cured and almost abandoned him in a field. Hiking the Longji Rice Terraces (梯田) in southern China is something I would recommend for everyone to add to their bucket list. The name     1     (literal) means “Dragon’s Backbone” due to the fact that the rice terraces look just like a dragon’s scales,     2     the mountain’s summit resembles the backbone.

During my visit to Guilin, I decided to set out on a three-day hike through the famous Longji Rice Terraces. Known as the “Dragon’s Backbone”, the terraces were a spectacular sight as they stretched across the green hills in complicated     3     (pattern) looking like ripples of water.

Microgreens rank among the simplest, smallest, and yet most delicious plants you can grow in the garden. There are many     1    (reward) aspects of starting these quick-growing plants for yourself, but perhaps the best thing about microgreens is how easy they are     2    (grow) at home.

I planted my first garden in a field with a rototiller (耕耘机). Needless to say, that first experience led to many     3    (fail) and very little food to show for all of my efforts.
