Academic advising is an important aspect of career exploration. It is through your academic advisor(s) that you will explore program options, discussing how these fit your career goals, and how to map your academic future in developing the knowledge and skills needed to be an employment-ready, life-long learner.
Experiential Education
There are many experiential (体验的) learning opportunities at UNB. Several programs include work placements as part of your degree requirements. Additional experiential opportunities include the Work-study Program and The Summer Institute. as well as finding and securing employment during your studies or the summer.

3 . Get Help Finding a Youth or Student Job
If you’re a student looking for a job, you can get help through these programs—regardless of your background or circumstances.
Youth Job Connection
You get at least 60 hours of paid training to prepare you for the workplace, a job for up to 6 months, job-coaching and help with the transition from school to work, or to ongoing employment once the program ends.
Who is eligible (具备条件的): between 16 and 29 years old; not attending full-time school or training.
Youth Job Connection Summer
You get at least 20 hours of paid training to prepare you for the workplace, summer jobs that last for up to 8 weeks (part-time and after-school jobs are available if they don’t conflict with school), job-coaching and help returning to school after the program ends.
Who is eligible: between 18 and 20 years old; a high school student planning to stay in or return to school, or to move on to postsecondary education.
MARS Studio
You are guided to learn critical skills you need to solve complex 21st century challenges, build networks with peers, coaches, and leaders, and pursue your innovative ideas for bold change in society.
Who is eligible: 8-month fellowship for young people aged 18-29.
Starter Company Program
You get guidance business knowledge and funding to start, grow, or buy a small business. To qualify for funding of up to $5,000, you need to be able to contribute at least 25% of the grant amount.
Who is eligible: between 18 and 29 years old; applicants must not be attending school full time.

Choosing the right career can be difficult, and consequently you will find many of us can hardly find a suitable job in our daily life.
Assess your hobbies. It is very easy to turn your hobbies or something you love doing into a future career. Many hobbies are related to real world needs and positions. Consider what you like to do and how that might fit into a career. Remain humble as you work toward your goal.
Assessing your skills
Consider what skills you are good at. If you are particularly good at certain skills, such as fixing things or making things, this can provide you with a great future career, since skilled labor is often in demand and you will find it fairly easy to find work.
Considering your current state
Explore yourself. Figuring out what you should do with your life may sometimes require you to get to know yourself better. If you want a career that will really make you happy, you have to have an impressive awareness of what you want and what you enjoy.
Thinking about your future
Examine your future financial security. One of the most important things to consider is if the career path you're choosing will provide you with an acceptable level of financial security. In other words, will you be able to make enough money to support yourself and your family? Meanwhile, you are supposed to pay special attention to your future job stability,

What do you need to prepare？
Visa：You should obtain the necessary visas．
Travel：You must arrange and finance your travel to and from the location where you will do your internship．
Medical insurance：You must show proof of a comprehensive health insurance valid（有效的）in the target country for the entire period of the internship．UNESCO will provide limited insurance coverage up to USD30,000 for the internship period．
Medical certificate：You must provide a medical certificate indicating you are fit to work．
Motivation letter：You should have your motivation letter ready before filling out the application form．
Your application will be accessed by UNESCO managers and will stay in our database for six months．We do not respond to every candidate．If selected，you will be contacted by a manager．If you do not receive any update within six months，it means that your application has not been successful．
