1 . Cambridge University Botanic Garden is private property. Visitors are welcome in accordance with the following rules made by the Botanic Garden Syndicate.
Time of opening and closing:
The Garden is open every day throughout the year except for the Christmas holiday period.
January, November & December 10 am-4 pm
February, March & October 10 am-5 pm
April—September 10 am-6 pm
The Glasshouses and Cafe close half an hour before the Garden closing time. The Botanic Garden Shop closes fifteen minutes before the Garden closing time. The latest admission time is half an hour before the Garden closing time.
Guidelines for all visitors:
As the Garden is a learning resource, visitors can get the most out of their visit if provided with educational activities here. Please remember the Garden is also a peaceful place where people come to relax.
 | Cycles, including children’s bicycles, tricycles and scooters, must be left in the parking spaces provided for them near the entrances. Children aged sixteen years and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No games, sports training, or jogging are allowed. No radios or sound reproduction equipment, or musical instruments, may be played in the Garden by visitors. A permit is required for commercial photography. Dogs are not admitted except guide dogs for the blind, hearing dogs for the deaf or assistance dogs. Smoking is not allowed in any of the Garden’s buildings. Keep to paths and lawns. Do not set foot on flower beds. Plants must not be picked or eaten. Seeds and leaves can be picked up from the ground but wash your hands afterwards. Do not climb the trees. Watch out for low hanging branches. |

3 . Around the world, there are hundreds of cities with brightly coloured streets and incredible graffiti that help to bring the streets alive. Here are some of the most colourful streets in the world to add to your list of places to visit.
El Caminito, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Within the La Boca neighbourhood of Buenos Aires lies El Caminito Street. This small but colourful street has rows of homes and businesses painted in every colour imaginable. And the pretty turquoise (青绿色) and yellow pavements make the street even more beautiful. Home to cafes and shops, this street is typically a hot spot for tourists.
Rainbow Row, Charleston, America
Many people claim that if you don't visit Rainbow Row then you haven't really been to Charleston at all. The row of 13 houses, painted in pretty pale soft colours including baby blue, soft pink, lemon yellow, and green, are private houses that date back to the 1700s. Just around the corner in the same neighbourhood, you'll find small ice cream shops, coffee shops, and independently owned stores to do some window shopping for a fun girl's getaway weekend.
Old Town Colmar, France
One of the most colourful areas in France is Old Town Colmar, a little village often referred to as the Little Venice of France with a history of over 1,100 years. The canal running through the center of the village is surrounded by half-wood houses of different colours. The village takes special care of the flowers that line the canal, which add to its collection of vibrant hues (鲜艳的色调).
Nyhavn, Copenhagen, Denmark
The harbour district of Copenhagen is one of the country's most popular tourist attractions, with good reason — the colourful street is only outdone by the views of the boats on the harbour. Nyhavn is home to traditional homes painted in bright colours; some have been changed into cafes and shops.

4 . Explore the History of Jazz and Celebrate the Lunar New Year
Here is a sampling of some events for this week and how to tune in. Note that events are likely to change after publication.
Monday
Explore the history of jazz in Washington with the musician, broadcaster and historian Ken Avis, as he discusses what made the city a capital and how the music has changed through the year. This event, presented by the Smithsonian Associates, costs $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Registration closes two hours before the event.

Tuesday
Celebrate the Lunar New Year’s unique food traditions in a talk from the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery. Jan Stuart, the Melvin R. Seiden organizer of Chinese art, will present works from the museum’s collection, and Lydia Chang of the Peter Chang restaurant empire, will share stories about her family’s celebratory dishes. This event is free, and attendance is capped at 500.

Wednesday
Join Ensemble NYC an evening of love songs. Featuring well-known artists, the event will include pieces like Gioachino Rossini’s “Una voce poco fa” and Mozart’s “La ci darem la mana”. A part of the money will be donated to West Side Campaign Against Hunger. Tickets are need-based and can be purchased for as little as $10.

Thursday
Dance with your little ones while listening to a special Valentin’s Day concert from the Laurie Berkner Band. In a live performance, Ms. Berkner, a children’s recording artist, will play family-friendly songs, dance with animations and even introduce special guests. Tickets are $20, and give viewers access to both the 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. shows.
