2 . A Date with Beautiful Sichuan
China Daily website is inviting photography-lovers to take photos and short videos that describe beautiful Sichuan in Southwest China from Oct 20, 2022 until Feb 20, 2023. The event called “A Date with Beautiful Sichuan” is hosted by Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and China Daily website.
Anyone is welcome to submit(提交) photos or videos, regardless of whether you are a professional or an amateur, or even who you are or where you are from. Photography works centered around the theme are welcome, such as Sichuan’s urban landscape, local customs, cultural and natural heritage, cultural relics and museums, cultural and creative industries, cuisine, opera, song and dance, etc., which fully display the beauty of Sichuan and convey the friendship and love across borders. Participants(参与者) will have the opportunity to get nice cultural and creative gifts. 4 . Marvelous Scenic Walks Near London
There are plenty of walking routes in London. If you fancy something a bit more rural, then the green and pleasant land has plenty to offer.
Goring Gap and the Thames PathIf you’re in the mood for a gentle rural walk, the Thames Path is far from boring. The 5-mile footpath follows the curve of the river, winding past wildflower meadows (草地).
Post-walk pub: Pangbourne’s seventeenth-century pub The Swan serves high-end dishes. Bag a table on the riverside or keep toasty by one of its open fires.
Box HillTo admire this spots rural views, first you’ve got to jump across 17 stepping stones and climb 272 steps to the top of Box Hill, where the path begins. The total distance is 6.8 miles.
Post-walk pub: The cavernous Tree on Box Hill has an attractive menu and huge beer garden, or sample a glass of Juniper Hill at Denbies Winerie.
A South Downs Ridge (山脊)If you’ve already done the classic Seven Sisters clifftop walk or can’t face all those hills, this is a long but lovely alternative. The route covering 14.3 miles snakes along a ridge and a river valley.
Post-walk pub: There are always 10 real beers at the old-school pub The Wellington.
Chess Valley in the ChilternsChess Valley in the Chiltern Hills isn’t home to any chess masters, but it used to produce a kind of water plant. This walk of 4.9 miles follows the river, winding through rolling meadows and woods.
Post-walk pub: The George & Dragon is a simple old coaching pub on the High Street with a log fire, real beers and giant burgers.

5 . The Festival of Cultures
August 11-14
City Park
The Festival of Cultures is an annual event to celebrate the wide range of cultures found in our great state. People representing 40 cultural groups will share their traditions and customs. Here are just a few of the festival’s many activities.
Crafts: See the fine art of basket weaving from Vietnam and Zimbabwe. Watch the art of making paper umbrellas from Thailand and the decorative craft of papel picado, or paper cutting, from Mexico. All craft demonstrations provide a firsthand view of how things are made. You will appreciate the process involved in making these products.
Music and Dance: Experience musical instruments that you have never heard before. Listen to the music of a sho from Japan, a bull-roarer from Australia, a sitar from India, and a chakay from Thailand. You will also be entertained by folk dances from around the world, such as the troika from Russia and the Mayim Mayim from Israel. From 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on August 14, special folk dancing classes for children will be offered. Children ranging in age from 6 to 8 can learn the kinderpolka from Germany. Children ranging in age from 9 to 12 can learn the raspa from Mexico.
Storytelling: Listen for hours as professional storytellers charm you with attractive tales. Fairy tales, folktales, and ballads from various countries will be told. By popular demand, Gwendolyn Washington, a famous African American storyteller, is back.
Food: Enjoy delicious foods from other countries, such as gyros from Greece, seafood paella from Spain, crepes from France, and tandoori chicken from India. These tasty dishes will be difficult to pass up.

9 . Summer Science Camp Instructors
Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo-Summer 2022 Camp Season
The Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo is currently looking for Camp Instructors to help facilitate its summer science camps which operate from June 15th through August 14th. These programs feature week-long full-day camps exploring a variety of science topics in the Life, Physical and Earth Sciences, and camp participants range in age from Preschool through Grade 6.
In addition to staffing science camps, Instructors are needed to support after camp programs at Rinconada Park. After camp programs offer campers an opportunity to wind down after a busy day of learning, and feature recreational activities, games, art making, and weekly trips to the Rinconada Pool.

Requirements:
Successful applicants will be at least 18 years old and available the entire summer—from June 15th through August 14th.
