2 . WorldStrides Gap Year
Calling all adventurers and go-getters. College isn’t going anywhere, but you can. WorldStrides Gap Year makes it possible to broaden your horizons—all while taking that well-deserved break from school.
With WorldStrides Gap Year, you’ll visit Greece, Italy, France, Spain, and Morocco. The program has three sessions in Athens, Florence, and Seville and each session will earn you 3 credits. At the end of each session, you’ll travel with your peers to excursions (远足) in Rome, Paris, Fez, and Meknes taking in the sites, culture, and adventure that each city has to offer. Throughout the entire program is another 12-week classes that provides another 3 credits.
Session One-Athens
September 4-26. 2023
This course explores the theme of immigration, combining an anthropological perspective of causes and trends and links those trends with political decisions, policies and governments.
Session Two-Florence
October 2-23, 2023
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the food, street, and culture scenes that set Florence apart from other metropolitan cities and encourage the discussion of the historical influence of its storied past on the food culture of today.
Session Three-Seville
October 24 -November 16, 2023
This course provides an overall view of the art history of Spain from the pre-Roman period to the present, dealing in more detail with the particular socio-cultural and historical realities in which the studied creative manifestations are created.

3 . The Student Essay Competition of Yorkshire
We are thrilled to announce the beginning of our annual student essay competition. This competition provides a fantastic opportunity for all of you to showcase your writing skills, express your creativity and win exciting prizes.
The theme for this year’s competition is “The Power of Education” We want to hear your thoughts on how education has the power to make a difference to the world, transform lives, and create a better future for all. All high school students from Yorkshire can participate in the competition.
Essay Guidelines:*The essay should be written in English.
*The word count should be between 500 and 1,000.
*The essay should be different from anything that has existed before and not be previously published.
*Proper citation and referencing are required for any external sources used.
*Plagiarism(抄袭)will result in disqualification.

4 . Lake City Skating Programs
Skating is a fantastic activity for people of any age. Patience, participation and perseverance are a few of the many values that the sport can teach its students. Our programs are thoughtfully prepared to embrace the natural progression of learning on ice for people dependent on their original abilities and age. Read on to learn more about our programs.
Learn to Skate Program
Come to Learn to Skate at the Frontier Ice Arena. Classes include skate rentals, 30-minute instruction from Lake City Figure Skating coaches, plus U. S. Figure Skating membership, record books and sports accident insurance.
Super Skaters Program
We are excited to bring back our 16-week Super Skaters Program. This program is open to any potential skater aged 3~8. Super Skaters is a 16-week set of lessons offered on Tuesdays from 5 to 5:30 PM. Your $99 fee includes skate rentals, lessons fees and access to the 5:45 PM public session.
Rising Stars Bridge Program
The Rising Stars Bridge Program is the perfect progression for skaters who have passed Basic 3 and are looking to step into the big kid skater world. Bridge skaters will have access to the 8~9 AM freestyle session and they will now enjoy a 30-minute group lesson from 9 to 9:30 AM. Private lessons may be taken during freestyle time for an additional cost
Theater on Ice Program
Theater on Ice is a form of competitive figure skating that combines the grace of figure skating with the excitement of theater and dance. Teams consist of between 8 and 30 skaters. In addition, solo skating is discouraged, but is permitted in limited amounts if it enhances the overall telling of the program’s story.
