Your kids will learn how to tend to vegetables and livestock (家畜) and almost certainly taste the fruits of their labor. Here’s a small sampling of what’s out there.
Muscot, New YorkThis farm, offers a half-day Wangler Camp for kids (a livestock-centred experience) and a two-week long Young Farmers camp for kids in grades one through eight. Camps range from $150 for weeklong half-day sessions to $350 for full-day sessions
Sproutai’ Up, ColoradoAn agriculture farm with a focus on education, Sprout’ Up offers skill-building programs for teens throughout the year, but their summer camp for kids is all about fun. In addition to farm activities the kids spend time at a local climbing gym. Three weekly half-day sessions are available for half-day sessions are available for $200 each.
Humboldt, CaliforniaLocated north of San Francisco, this sleepaway camp spreads out over several hundredacres in the coastal hills of Sonoma County. The lodging (住处) is tent-style, with outdoorshowers. A range of farm activities are available throughout the summer.
Alegre, GeorgiaYour kids will clean and brush a horse, and learn to milk a goat at this camp. Three-daysessions (mornings only) cost $125, and parents can attend with their children for an extrafee.

2 . Filming in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest
The Kamas Ranger District handles film permits for the Kamas district of the Wasatch- Cache National Forest.
To ensure that permits are issued in time for filming, the Forest Service requests that application form be handed in three to four weeks prior to filming.
The fee structure for filming in the National Forest is as follows:
Filming Special Use Fee1 to 10 people-$150 per day
11 to 30 people-$200 per day
31 to 60 people-$500 per day
Over 61 people-$600 per day

Large production (greater than 100 people), multiple site filming that may require additional film monitoring to protect natural resources and a performance agreement in the form of a deposited check.
Upon approval, a Special Use Permit will be issued with a bill for collection. Checks should be made payable to “USDA Forest Service, ” and payment must be received before filming.
NoteSome areas of the forest are especially sensitive to impacts from vehicles, domestic animals, and people. These areas include wetlands, streams, lake shorelines, and most meadow areas. Filming requests in these sensitive areas will require special surveys to determine possible environmental impacts. The request may be denied.

Join us for a relaxing paddle trip, which will be led by park keepers as we explore the shores of Kentucky Lake. Together we will search historic sites associated with the Civil War and Town Era history of Old Johnsonville. As we kill time in the evening, we’ll keep a lookout for wildlife and enjoy an absolutely amazing sunset over the Tennessee River. Anyone can join the trip; no previous paddling experience is necessary. Park keepers leading the trip are experienced paddlers that are certified in CPR in first aid.
ADDITIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION — RENTED CANOES$20 a canoe is for non-members and $15 a canoe for members. A maximum of 6 canoes are available to rent for this trip. Each canoe is limited to 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 children. Canoes, paddles, and life jackets are provided at the same time. Free life jackets are required for all participants. The same goes for liability waivers (安全免责书). No pets will be permitted on this trip as they may disturb wildlife we may be trying to view. The trip will be called off in the event of severe weather and a refund can be applied for. The decision to call off the trip should be made before 12:00 pm on the day prior to the trip. Otherwise, no refund will be issued.

Genuine words
Art Critique at the Art Museum of the Beijing Fine Art Academy is a unique show that puts the works of resident painters and the critiques (评论) of scholars (学者) together. The painters are from the academy’s four workshops on oil painting and three types of Chinese paintings — mountain and water, flower and bird, and figure.

Small landscapes
Wandering on the Earth is a show of landscapes from the collection of the National Art Museum of China, which includes many attractive scenes from around the world. Running at the National Art Museum of China, the show awakens a feeling of woyou, an old term that refers to the journey taken in the mind upon appreciating a landscape painting.

Galloping lines
The Tianjin Museum traces (追溯) the development of Chinese calligraphy during the Ming and Qing dynasties in a show of its collection from the period. Developing over thousands of years, calligraphy became an important part of Chinese art.

Wandering strokes
In her paintings, Yu Lian tries to visualize (使形象化) Xiaoyao You, a text from Zhuangzi, a book about the thoughts of the Taoist philosopher Zhuangzi, who lived around the 4th century BC. Yu is always busy with painting, and she shares her works in her show, Painting Zhuangzi, at the Today Art Museum. She manages to explain Zhuangzi’s Taoist ideas in her paintings.

6 . Teen Docent Program
Are you looking to impact the community while learning valuable skills? Join the Teen Docent (讲解员) Program at Los Altos History Museum! Teen Docents interact with museum professionals and community members while experiencing a look at museum magic in action.
Once accepted into the Program, you will be invited to a welcome reception on May 7. In early summer, you will join in a one-week, intensive seminar (集中研讨会) from 10 A. m.-2 p. m.. Upon completion of the seminar, participants will become official Museum Teen Docents. Teen Docents are an important part of the Museum, interacting with visitors, leading tours, and helping to plan important museum events.

Chaplin’s WorldCharlie Chaplin was the greatest artist of the silent movies. His legacy (遗产) lives on through the creation of Chaplin’s World a this former home, the Manoir de Ban, Corsier-sur-Vevey. Beneath shady trees on the shores of Lake Geneva, the residence remains as Chaplin would have known it. Swiss Open-Air MuseumNot all museums are housed in buildings. The Swiss Open-Air Museum in Ballenberg allows visitors to walkthrough and around over 100 rural houses and farm buildings sourced from all over Switzerland. All the structures in the museum are original, de construe ted from their original sites, and reconstructed in Ballenberg. It’s the closest visitors can get to relive the life of Swiss people in ancient times.
Queen-The Studio ExperienceIt’s a kind of magic to step into the former Mountain Studios, situated in the Casinos Barriere in Montreux. Not only did the rock Rolling Stones and band Queen record six albums there, but the Rolling Stones and David Bowie also recorded hits in the studios. Since 2013 there has been a permanent exhibition museum honouring Queen and lead singer Freddie Mercury. With a background of Queen music and recorded interviews, the rooms are filled with photos, albums and instruments.
