Wolfram High School Summer Research Program
The program aims to introduce high schoolers to programming, computational thinking and technology. Students participate in lectures and activities led by Wolfram instructors and build hands-on experience developing a project from ideation (构思) to completed products. About 50 students are admitted to the program annually.

UC Santa Barbara Research Mentorship Program
The program enables participants to do hands-on experience, university-level research in various fields, including computer science. Students work with a teacher to learn about research techniques and grow their academic goals. The program concludes with participants reporting their findings in a technical research paper and presenting them at a formal academic meeting.

Terp Young Scholars
This program, offered through the University of Maryland, allows students to learn college level coursework, earn college credits and learn on a college campus. Participants choose one course to explore, where they attend classes, work on projects, take exams and cooperate with each other.

UT Computer Science Summer Academy
This week-long summer program is open to students of all skill levels in grades 10-12. Participants will learn about C++, project management and careers in technology. In University of Texas, Austin, all of them will share a room in a dormitory hall with a roommate, eat in the dining hall and deal with college-level coursework.

4 . Diners are small restaurants that serve breakfast and common American food such as hamburgers and sandwiches. Here are four diners to visit next time you’re in the States.
Harry’s Coffee Shop
Located in La Jolla, California, it opened in 1930s. It serves breakfast and lunch, and then closes around 3:00 in the afternoon. For breakfast, try their La Jolla Scramble with mushroom, tomatoes and cheese, or a classic Reuben sandwich made of corned beef, Swiss cheese and finely cut cabbage on slices of bread.
Little Goat Diner
It opened in 2012 in Chicago. Their breakfast selection includes Fat Elvis Waffles, which are made with bananas, peanut butter and maple syrup—just the way singer Elvis Presley used to like them. Many menu items include goat products.
Mickey’s Dining Car
It first opened in the 1960. It serves all-day breakfast, and it’s open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Mickey’s menu includes classics. Located in St Paul, the diner has featured in several Hollywood films. The only seating area available is at the counter, but it’s really worth a visit.
The Magnolia Café
Seated in Austin, Texas, it’s another 24-hour diner with breakfast available anytime. Its original name was The Omelettry West, and opened in 1979. The Magnolia Cafe is famous for its humour. For example, their front sign reads “Sorry, we’re open.”
