1 . General LRC rules

We have a number of simple rules to help you use the Language Resource Centre (LRC). Please cooperate and enjoy your visit with us.

● No eating or drinking

● No copying of audio cassettes

● You can use the LRC cither on your own during self - access times or you may use it with your teacher as part of a lesson.

● If you use it as a self-access student, you must scan your borrower barcode (issued by the library staff) when entering and leaving. The LRC is for use by Language Centre students only.

● All bags must be put in the bag-rack.

Please work quietly. This is a library and many students are studying for exams.

Photocopying

We have a photocopier available. Please ask the library staff to help you. The cost is 20c for one A4 sheet.

Borrowing from the LRC

Language Centre students are permitted to borrow materials from the library. Other schools’ students must use the facilities at their own schools.

Full-time students: Give your photo — ID card to the librarian and you will get an LRC number. Part-time students: You will need to bring your $ 50. 00 deposit receipt from the cashier. When your course finishes, bring your library card back and your deposit will be refunded in cash.

Loans

Language students can borrow up to 4 items (of which no more than 2 can be kits) at one time. Kits are bags containing book(s) plus cassette(s).

All teacher trainee students may borrow up to 3 items:

● Test materials 1 week

● Listening kits 1 week

● Most other books 2 weeks

Books marked REF in red are reference books and cannot be taken out of the library. Books marked REF in green may be removed by staff only.

Most items can be renewed once. Test materials cannot be renewed.

The 2023 Forum will address the theme on speeding up the recovery from the COVID-19 and the full implementation (实施) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It will also review progress in the areas of affordable and clean energy, and sustainable cities and communities, ete.

· Format

The three-day event will feature plenary (全体出席的) sessions and regionally based discussions, with the last day designed for the preparation of the 2023 SDG Summit. Talented youth speakers will deliver short presentations in between sessions.

Participation in the Forum is by invitation only. The youth participants are selected by National Youth Councils, regional youth organizations, etc.

The event will be held in a mixed way allowing for opportunities for in-person and virtual participation. Participants will also be able to ask questions via social media.

Specific features of the two courses

There will be daily contact at specified times including taught sessions, lectures, group activities and 1:1 guidance from teachers. Students attend live online interactive sessions for about 3 hours each day beginning at 10 am (London time). There will also be at least 4 hours of directed self-study each day. In total, there will be a minimum of 7 hours of academic study each day.

※On Route Inspection Day, the Race Officials will provide you with a Race Briefing, which will cover everything from a weather forecast to a brief presentation of the start/finish procedures. All runners are expected to walk the 3.5 km section of the wall that is part of the marathon, half-marathon and 8.5 km Fun Run course. Race Officials and Medical Staff will be present to answer any questions you may have.


Rules & Regulations

Full marathon runners must be at least 18 years old on Race Day. Half-marathon runners must be at least 16 years old. Fun Run participants must be at least 12 years old. Fun Run participants under the age of 12 are also welcome, so long as they are accompanied by a runner aged 16 or above.

The cut-off time for all distance events is 8 hours. All runners with a net finishing time slower than 8 hours will receive a FNT (Finished No Time) on the result list.

If you decide to change distances during the race, i.e. if a half-marathon runner decides to follow the marathon route, he or she will receive a certificate but not an official time. The race result will read FNT. The same applies to a marathon runner who changes distances during the race. All runners who change distances before Race Day will be registered accordingly and receive an official time.
