A Chinese swimmer has made history again. Last week, Qin Haiyang,    1     won all the 23 gold medals in the men’s breaststroke (蛙泳),     2     (award) as the Best Male Swimmer of the Year 2023 of World Aquatics in Budapest, Hungary. This    3     (recognize) came just a day after he secured the Swimming World Cup Overall Male Award.     4     (amazing), at the championships in Fukuoka, the 24-year old broke the Asian record five times and became the first swimmer in history    5     (earn) all three breaststroke titles at a single edition of the event.

Her height made     6     possible for her to play volleyball well. With time going by, Lang Ping played better and better. Lang Ping and her teammates played so well that they won champions several     7    (time) in the 1980s.

After she     8    (retire) in 1986, Lang Ping coached volleyball in Italy and America. In 1995, she returned to China to work as a coach. She was     9     busy with her work to take care of her family. In 2016 Chinese women volleyball team won a gold medal at the Olympics in Brazil. Because of the victory, Lang Ping became the first person in the volleyball     10    (win) an Olympic gold medal as both a player and a coach. And, Lang Ping and her team won another world championship in 2019 for our motherland.

As an outstanding American gymnast (体操运动员), Simone Biles has won more medals     1     any other gymnast in American history. Although Biles has made great achievements in sports, she had never received     2     college education before. But it has changed. Biles is a college student now.

Biles had planned to go to the University of California Los Angeles,     3     she could go into a classroom and listen to lessons in a traditional way, but her busy life made it nearly impossible     4     (study) full-time at a university. So she     5     (decide) to take some classes at the University of the People, an online university, which     6     (set) up by Shai Reshef, an Israeli-born businessman. It offers degree programs of different levels. It was at the 2012 1SU World Figure Skating Championships that I first saw Japanese figure skater Hanyu Yuzuru. He was competing in free skating with a piece of music from Romeo and Juliet. I was    1     (immediate) attracted to his incredible performance along with the expressive music.

Yuzuru has been an    2     (inspire) for me in my years as a senior high school student. In his career so far: he    3     (experience) innumerable difficulties and countless injuries. Yuzuru has always trained hard    7    the suffering from asthma (哮喘). He bravely overcomes obstacles so he can dance on the ice and live life{o the fullest. From 2012 to 2021,I have been inspired by Yuzuru's spirit,    8    has helped me push forward no matter what.

When I face any problem that I think l can't handle in life, such as    9     (burden) with homework or when my grades are sliding,I watch videos of Yuzuru skating over and over again in search or hope and perseverance. After all, he succeeded against so much    10     (uncertain). So how could I not face my own problems?
