An amazing Chinese art festival was held in December last year. There were different stands which artists could present their skills and wonderfully teaching the visitors. It was definite an exciting experience for a foreign student like me. What caught up my attention first in a breathtaking exhibition of Chinese porcelain was a 15th-century qinghua bowl, vividly illustrating a dragon playing with a ball.
Then I tried paper cutting, that is, making images out of paper. It was difficult, and a lot of fun. Under an artist’s help, I managed to make one in shape of a fish. Meanwhile, there was also an old man written Chinese calligraphy and his writing was very free and elegant that I was attracted. Then another man sitting next to him shows me how seal cutting worked. He made one for me with my name in Chinese—pretty awesome!

The first important event for a newborn child is the One-Month-Old ceremony. In the morning of the baby’s thirtieth day, relatives and friends gather give their best wishes and gifts to the new baby. The baby’s parents also give gifts to them as a sign of their thanks. Although gifts differ from place to place, but eggs dyed (染色) red were usually the most popular ones. It's probably because in Chinese culture eggs mean the changed process (过程) of life.
During the celebration, grandparents often give their grandchild gold or silverware to show their deeply love. Of course, parents and the newborn baby receive modern gifts, too, that include baby clothes, toys, and books, but the most common is money putting in a red packet. In other word, it’s like a Western baby shower, but it is celebrated a month late.

There will be a Chinese zither (古筝) exhibition in the city museum on this weekend. Informed that traditional Chinese instruments appeal to you, I’m writing to invite you visit it.
Twenty Chinese zithers of different ages, among them the oldest one has a history of 2,500 year, will be on show in the museum. It is widely acknowledged that Chinese zithers were called “the piano in China”, enjoy a great popularity. Equally attractive are amazing stories behind it, for example, how they were made by hand and whatever parts they consisted of. There is a good chance that you can appreciate music play on the instrument by famous artists, exposed to a peace atmosphere.
Are you available? If so, I am too willing to accompany you.

China and Western country may have different cultural beliefs about certain animals. But when it comes to pigs, we somehow reach an agreement that pigs are lazy, ugly, stupidly and shameless. Neither of these words describing pigs are exactly positive. Moreover, the truth is what pigs have some good qualities. And there’s probably no good time to clear their names than now, with the arrival of the Year of the Pig on Chinese Spring Festival, which fell February 5 this year. According to a paper publishing in 2017, pigs can tell between those who treat them well or those who don’t. Perhaps these are the qualities of pigs to keep it in mind—their intelligence, cuteness and patience.

They tell each other their lives in the past year, exchange gifts and to eat delicious meals in the warm of the family. I hope you will come here and experienced this wonderful festival.

People always communicate with words.Do you think you can communicate with words?A smile on your face shows you are happily or friendly.Tears in eyes told others that you are sad. When you put down your hand in class, the teacher knows they want to say something.Other things can also express message. For example,a sign at the bus stop helps you know that which bus to take.Signs on the door tell you whether to go in and out.Have you ever seen that there is a lot of signs around you and that you receive messages from them all time?
